I apologize that, contrary to popular belief, not everyone on a Bioware site is a Bio-drone.

There is not a fine line between "bio-drone" and "Endings suck 'cause artistic integrity!"

Point is they used the term "artistic integrity" to basically say "The ending is as much a part of the story as everything else is, we can't just throw it out and write a new one because it would make no sense and too many people would want it catered specifically to them."  Basically, people took what's actually a pretty reasonable stance on Bioware's part and twisted it into a strawman argument.

Reminds me of the Skyrim messageboards pre-release. I went to Eurogamer Expo in London and noted down most of the perk information before it was released by Bethesda; my article on the Skyrim forum revealing the perks and details went viral, with just about every major gaming news source quoting me on their sites.

Plus, of course, all those sites that used the info but didn't even have the courtesy to quote their source. Grumble.

Either way, hooray for internet fame!

P.S. on-topic, Leviathan looks interesting. I like the idea of the ending evolving over the course of a wide multi-DLC timeframe, although I hope it's not an approach other companies adopt (I don't think I could take having to wait years for the endings to all my favourite games).

I wonder how it feels to be in the know at Bioware, dangling so many juicy carrots in front of our noses? I bet they had an office sweepstake on how long it'd be before someone dug out the Leviathan info.

Where are you getting that info?  Doesn't seem like there were Reapers before the Catalyst made Harbinger.

What I mean is, when the Starkid was tasked with coming up with a solution to the problem of  "organics vs synthetics", he turned his creators into the Reapers in their old image. The Leviathan seems to from that race, but he was not changed by the Starkid.

But they do mention how the Reaper has a colony of beings thought to be the original creators of Reapers. And we do have the Keepers...
