Not sure if this one has been posted already:

So the Reapers did not fully exterminate their creators. That suggests they are fallible, even on large or long-term scales.

This is... unexpected.

Very interesting. I assumed the first SP DLC would revolve around Omega, but this seems like something different.

I really hope the Leviathan of Dis is involved - I'd love to see how batarian space is faring during the war, and anything that expands on the Reapers is always welcome. Even after the EC there are too many unanswered questions.

If Leviathan is a defector--a Reaper that broke away from the others--then it is also a traitor.

What was that someone posted way, way back about a possible sequel to Mass Effect called 'Mass Shift"? Which featured a rogue Reaper under the player protagonist's control? And what was it called again?

Yes. 'Leviathan'.

What? where did you read that? and no it wasnt completely off line, you had to blow up its core to get off it remember? Through out the games all information ive seen points to reapers having to consciously decide to indoctrinate, or work to do it.

How about the fact that a non-sentient, non-sapient artifact (object rho) can indoctrinate? Indoctrination doesn't need conscious effort to happen.

A chance to see the creators of the Reapers as a single player DLC?

Anyone who thinks you can get computer herpes from a text file should rethink their use of computers..

Also for those who care, it looks like that is a subtitle file for the Unreal Engine. In this case, it looks like someone forgot to prune out a few lines :P

Could be first Creator ever transformed to Reaper, ones Caty mentioned.

Sovereign, Harbinger, Leviathan these could be the creators of Catalyst. Caty also said they 'had' to transform to Reaper, so the rouge reaper seems possible to me.

The Leviathan of Dis is the name given to a gigantic corpse that disappeared from a crater on Jartar in 2163. It is believed to be the remains of a genetically engineered starship and its age was originally placed at nearly a billion years old.
Unfortunately, there was little time to study and uncover the true nature of this mysterious find. Not long after its discovery by a batarian survey team, a batarian dreadnought visited the Dis System, after which the Leviathan mysteriously disappeared. The batarians have since strenuously denied that the Leviathan existed at all. They become even more vocal when shown documentation of the Leviathan by salarian researchers before its disappearance.

Provided he survived the events of Bring Down the Sky, Balak will tell Shepard that the Leviathan was actually an inactive Reaper which ended up indoctrinating most of the system when the scientists accidentally reactivated it. Afterwards they infiltrated and sabotaged the Hegemony's defenses opening the way for the Reaper invasion of their territory.

So I've been looking through the files of EC and found something very interesting. If you convert the DLC_Shared_INT.tlk file using ME2 TLK Tool (social.bioware.com/project/3492/) to XML you can read stuff suggesting that there will be a DLC about Leviathan of Dis. I uploaded the .txt file here if you don't want to bother with unpacking stuff: www.speedyshare.com/j2fmM/dlc.txt The stuff about DLC starts somewhere in the middle.

Spoilers obviously..

Most intriguing...

EDIT: Could we be looking at another squadmate?

Seems like they are trying to explain the origins of the Reapers with this, if they go ahead with it...

Very interesting.

I really hope that if this DLC lets you "recruit" a rouge Reaper in addition to showing how the Catalyst is not all knowing and powerful (ROUGE Reaper anyone).

And that hopefully the DLC would let you 'tweak' the Destroy ending, namely the Geth and EDI can survive. I mean if a Reaper is helping with the Crucible I don't see why it couldn't fine tune the device so that I would not kill them (EDI and Geth) or itself.

Man this would be so cool if they expanded upon it. Would at least make the reapers interesting again

I actually hope they don't tweak the Destroy Ending, but I am intrigued to see if this becomes a reality.

A DLC that explores the origins of the Reapers maybe?

It is definitely implied we learn more about their origins in this unnamed DLC.

Unless I get a cutscene during the ending, showing the Leviathan being a badass, why should i care to get him as a war asset?

From what I remember that rumour said the reaper was called 'murmur' not leviathan. Also Mass shift was supposedly set 1000ish years after the events of the reaper war.
