Will this change the stupid ending and the god child nonsense? No? Then why would I care?

It's not a god child, it's an A.I.

It being an A.I. explains it better than before. You don't have to like it, but it does make more sense.

So far, this is the only comment we have about this:

twitter.com/BioEvilChris/status/219573863359590400

Look at it and make your own conclusions, personally, I don't know what to believe.

Than why care about the game at all? Sell it and don't bother with discussing any dlc about it.

You can vent your frustrations in threads made by those frustrated for those frustrated, so about 3 out of the 4 threads on this board.

A confirmation made by Chris, the devil himself is more reliable than him, at least you know that he is going to do something evil.
But Chris? You can never be sure if what he says is true, a lie or just messing with the fans for fun.

an A.I. isn't capable of rewriteing the DNA of all organic life in the universe to incorporate Synthetic DNA and vice versa.

Not the universe, just our galaxy. Yet another flaw in Starclowns logic, its plan never took in account the other hundreds of billions of galaxies in the universe. Synthetics could rise up in any of them and the go to the Milkyway later. Its so called  "solution" was unworkable from the very start.

Considering the Reapers´s capabilities, I think the SB probably exported his "solution" to other galaxies as well. The Reapers seem capable of making the trip.

There is absolutely no evidence of that. None. Not to mention, the time it would take the Reapers to get to other Galaxies, and the sheer number of Galaxies. There is no way they could stop it happening in all the Galaxies of the universe. And considering the Reapers hibernate and the Synthetics will have no reason too, the Synthetics technology will eventually be far beyond the Reapers. No, Starclown failed from the beginning.

I don't think any Reaper could be trustworthy. If it is to be pre or mid-ending, then I agree on the small changes to the end if any, otherwise the goal posts will be constantly moved and the definitive ending will cease to exist. Every good plot needs a conclusion.

We know that the reapers are controlled and co-ordinated by a single "AI" intelligence, so it could be possible that a "rogue reaper" will give us some sort of information regarding breaking down the reaper control mechanism and fracturing their collective consensus...

That would have very interesting implications...

To be fair to the Catalyst he was probably only tasked with "protecting" life in the Milky Way, and possibly it's satellite galaxies. Synthetics in other galaxies were probably not considered a threat dew to the vast distances, and that they could exceed the Reapers is somthing I doubt would even enter he's... em... mind(?).

Though I had often wondered if the Reapers had harvested the life in other galaxies in the Local Group, or even that of just Andromeda and its satellite galaxies.

Also, the idea of a synthetic threat from outside our galaxie is an interesting idea. Maybe the Reapers were the only thing keeping somthing eles at bay, much like 8472 did to the Borg for a time. Anyway better get back on topic befor they shut us down...
So this Leviathan thing is intriguing, isn't it? Image IPB

It was tasked with protecting Organics from Synthetics. It being too stupid to see its "plan" was doomed to failure from the beginning is down to it and nothing else. The vast distances would be nothing for Synthetics, they don't age. There is no evidence the Reapers have advanced since they first came into being, and considering the current cycle species can destroy many of them and they only had fifty thousand years, you can be damn sure a Synthetic race that's been advancing for hundreds of millions of years, maybe longer, will hand them their ass.

Starclown failed at its task spectacularly. The only reason the Milkyway hasn't been overrun by Synthetics has nothing to do with it, it didn't happen because it was wrong. It's nothing more than a flawed AI with circular logic forming its decisions.

Leviathan shows that there are no guarantees with either the control or synthesis endings. It shows there is no chance of controlling the Reapers indefinitely.

So that's why it took them so long to make ec, because they are making 2 dlcs at the same time.

You make a good point about synthetics not being concerned with distances between galaxies, they could, after all, just shut down for the tens of thousands of years it would take them to complete the journey.

I don't really see the Catalyst as stupid, more that he is limited by the constants of his programming. It can't really conceive of anything it's not programmed to.

Or just pass the time by working on their tech.

If it can't think outside of its programming, then it's a VI, not an AI as it claimed, making it even more inept. It's no wonder Leviathan broke ranks, it saw this thing for what it was.

Collective consensus doesn´t sound much like control to me, I see it more like a conclave were opinions are exchanged.

From the leaks it doesn´t look like Levi is much of a nice guy anyway. Which is to be expected considering how it was created. Even if their actual minds are still there, sanity should be a real problem.
