I did believe that too tbh but making another DLC ending would make the EC pointless and it took time to make and  postponed other DLC. Besides, Bioware has already stated that no more DLC on the endings is planned so those 4 are our endings whether we like it or not. Personally i was satisfied with the EC and  i think the IT is pontless now.

Nice to see someone else satisfied with the EC. I thought only I was insane enough

Quite a few people are satisfied with it, rest assured. :)

I too am satisfied with the ending because of the EC. You'd be surprised by how many opinions have changed because of the DLC.

you also be suprised that alot of people have not changed there opinion as i am one of them
the EC didnt do much and im glad it did for you but for me it is still crap, a cop out, and just plane stupidto have all these things to do {WAR ASSETS} and it not make a damn bit of diffrence in the end
and refusal yeah thanks BW for telling me to f off because i didnt like your crap art that didnt have ANYTHING to do with the story
nnow if this dlc accually makes all the hard work ive done meann anythimg then ill get it till then they can keep it
and i mean a REAL refuse option not just the middle finger while being kicked to the quad

^^That, i'm not surprised about, kinda expected that the EC won't change everyones mind. I like how they extended the RGB choices more in terms of explanation and the consequences. I could just live with that.
Altho I agree with you about the refusal choice. I think it was the most dumbest thing out, I respect people's opinion and that choice... was definitely like a middle finger from Bioware.

I agree... but still, it sorta worked out in the end.

Not as good as the control option (the only one I've done or seen so far), but still the Reapers wind up getting whupped 50,000 years from now, so I'm happy with it.

I like the EC. Tied up the loose ends pretty well. Would've liked more personal interaction like the scene just before the Normandy lifts off Earth (with ME2 squaddies in particular), but I can at least finish the game now without making a "WTF!?!" face.

Technically we're not sure when the Reapers get stopped exactly, we only know it's without a war, and word of god states it's with the Crucible.

Not the word of god, just head cannon.

No official website for mass effect or bioware twitter, not cannon.

Mike gamble's head cannon is his and his alone, that's the good thing about the endings. If you don't agree with him, there is plenty of room and evidence to say the crucible wasn't used.

Still word of god, which is about as official as it can get. Like Dumbledore being gay, it's word of god, not headcanon.

Yeah, but it's not in any material that's part of the work. As I see it, the only canon is what's in the games, the books and the comics. What developers say has weight, but the ME universe as published stands on its own. I agree with Mike Gamble insofar that if they did it without a war, they very probably used the Crucible. But if anyone can come up with a different scenario, why not?

@the topic:
Has anyone got any info about when we can expect the Leviathan DLC? After having read the spoilers, I must admit I'm thrilled.

I was a strong believer in IT (and still am, even though not as much as before EC) and I think BioWare really added to the game with EC.
I really liked it, the only thing I miss now is my little chat with good old Harby ^^

I don't know why everyone wants to talk to it so bad. I mean Shepards and Harbinger relationship is a one way streeet. To Shepard, it's a rival and the face of the enemy, Shepard has a Grudge against it.

Harbinger probably doesn't give a crap, can reapers even feel things like anger and animosity? It probably just considers Shepard as another faceless primitive organic that's delaying the inevitable.

Then why does he have such a special interest in Shepard in ME2 ?
Why did he want Shepards body so bad after he died ?
And why all the build up of Harbinger as a villain in ME2 to have just a cameo in ME3 ?
I bet I am not the only one who thought "WTF ??" when he just lifted off after blasting you.

I don't know why this bugs me that much, but I just wanted to kick his Reaper butt after ME2 (and especially after Arrival) and then having this 15 sec appearance just disappointed me a lot.

They actually have cut dialog posted somewhere on these forums that explains the now defunct reasons why the collectors and Harbinger originally wanted Shepard's body. It was mainly the collectors, though, as the collector's version of Illusive Man wanted the cipher and such out of Shepard's head so that he could restore part of what it was to be prothean.

"you have become an annoyance"

Yes, Reapers can feel anger and animosity :P

anyone else wonder if this means that what we feared might happen - might actually happen. in that we have to pay for the 'real' ending?

Not sure if I will end up playing this DLC or any DLC. I am in the minority of wanting another ME to really tie up everything better but if I already played the end, why play more from before? A rogue reaper sounds interesting but still...

Why is everyone so obsessed with DLC affecting the ending? I'm perfectly fine with getting more background information. Part of the attraction of playing the ME games was always deciphering the mysteries of the ME universe. I'll gladly pay for more of that - if it comes as a good story.

So would I - I'll gladly pay Shadow Broker amounts for a new injection of story/lore/adventuring, will give me another reason to replay the trilogy too :wizard:

Also, it would be AWESOME SAUCE if the Leviathan DLC (since it's a 'unique' war asset) gave an additional ending that (with all war assets at max + our pet Leviathan of Dis) opens up a new dialogue with god-child, that let's us say "stuff you buddy!!" and STILL win in the end... otherwise, what use is gaining the OG Reaper as a war asset if it doesn't make a BIG difference to the war effort.. yeah?

Yeah. :police:

Chris Priestly asked ME fans to watch the EA Summer Showcase live, maybe something gets announced there.

I'll be waiting with bated breath tomorrow. I've been waiting on this to become truly official for a while now. Even avoided reading the dialogue lines when it leaked.

So maybe you could send me a PM with a summary of the ME related stuff said there ?
Cause I won't be able to watch it.
