A guy asked me to post if I found a solution, so here it goes.

I contacted Origin support and a person named Aryan, who was surprisingly helpful, gave me two solutions. I'm not sure which solution did it, or if it was a combination of both, but here they are:

1.) Go into Program Files > Origin and rename the file IGO32.dll to IGO3211.dll.
2.) Clear your Origin cache by going to settings and selecting "Delete all game installers". Log out and log back in.

After doing those two things, ME3 ran without a hitch.

Hope this helps, everyone. Enjoy the extended cut. :D

Tried this unfortunately Origin gave me an error and said an essential component was missing and I should reinstall it. Renaming ICGO32.dll back got rid of the error message, but now I'm back to square one. :/

This seems to have worked for me but now I am getting an authorization error with From Ashes. Argh.

While I can't help the first reply (sorry, man) I can try this one...

Have you tried repair install/check for updates on ME3?

This worked for me, although I do get the essential component is missing error. I just ignore it and the game loads fine. Looks like they have to fix Origin, again...

Bleh, I get the Component is missing error, and it still crashes at the start.

Ohhh okay let me give that a go again....

EDIT: Ignoring the message doesn't do anything, the game still won't launch for me. :crying:

I had some luck trying different things. I opened up the config and changed it to windowed and then opened it up using something else besides origin. Like moving the steam icon over it. I get past the start, but get stuck at a moon, or a planet.

OKay so I got it to work!! So far anyway, I went into properties for the Origin shortcut and set it to run as administrator in both places you can check that. Now I had launched Origin as admin before and it had not worked, however this time I also went under shortcut and selected to run the program as a minimized window.

I think the minimized window is what solved the issue for me.

I used solution #1 a while back to fix a problem with mass effect not starting. The game now starts and works fine but I got the "component is missing reinstall origin" error message. The only problem I experience is I cannot access origin in game (neither shortcut nor the downloadable content link in the main menu works), but switching to origin using ALT + Tab works. So I'm really not motivated to "fix" it further.

Tried everything mentioned in this post, but I'm still getting the "Mass Effect 3 has stopped working" message over and over again. Ugh.

I should add for those who use Texmod, I can also NOT launch texmod with Origin anymore. However the game is still working.
