At least I think the past three months of upset players and concerned voices would've been much less.
There's more closure, letting the players know of what happened with the rest of the galaxy and the squadmates.
True that the few added scenes were mostly slideshows and voiceovers, but remember the ending of NWN2?

Personally I did like the endings EC offered - I wasn't looking for a happily ever after.

That being said, I'm uncertain of what to think about the end result.

EC's endings are certainly better and much more swallowable - but that does not change the fact that even the revised endings of Mass Effect 3 doesn't quite mix with the first two of the series. The original ending was as if you are reading Agatha Christie's Murder on the Oriental Express throughout the entire book to find out only the last chapter ended with Disney's the Three Caballeros. It would work if you were bound with surrealisme from the first page of the book, but that quite wasn't the case.

On the other hand, the revised endings felt like CSI: Miami's.
