I am satisfied because I know that a reunion is possible and heavily implied so I like it. More importantly, the EC has given me the "I feel like playing Mass Effect again" feeling, which is always good.

But now what will I talk about with the EC released?
I can't just tease the Synthesis people all the time.
Talk about what the next DLC will hold?

Well, at least the EC didn't make things worse. That's positive I guess

As someone who has rolled her eyes at some of the more extreme Retakers...
I want to say thanks. The EC provided nearly everything I had hoped for. (Sorry to those who didn't get that. I know that there are several of you) It's thanks to your persistence, cupcakes, donations etc. that this DLC came about. It enriched my ME3 experience in many ways and I cannot imagine the game without it.
So, from a doubter, once more: Thank you. I know this probably means little to nothing. But I just wanted to express my gratitude & give credit where it's due.
And thank you, Bioware as well.
Hey!
I was debating where to put my feelings on the extended cut. I think this thread is the best choice.
(I am one of the ReTakers) and throughout this whole 3 month ordeal, I've tried to be civil and at the same time, express my frustration to BioWare.
I just wanted to say, that the new extended cut ending is much better than the original ending(s). (I chose destroy, have not seen the others yet.) Is it everything I wanted? No, but it is much better.
I agree with some posters here on BSN who still feel slighted by how BioWare/EA handled this whole thing. However, I am glad EA/BW were able to swallow enough pride to deliver the EC (for free!) to give the fans of the story a better ending. This ending is much more digestable than the original ones and while the choices we made in the first 2 games still don't really matter, I finally feel like my Shepard "won". That's all I really wanted.
Thanks for starting this thread, Persephone, thanks to all the other retakers and yes, thanks to BioWare for attempting to mend that bridge they tried really hard to burn.

I haven't been able to play the EC yet, but I hope I share the same feeling that you do about it. Glad that you enjoyed it.
If you haven't played the EC yet do not read the forums about it, find a way to download it and play it through, so you get your own impressions of it

Applauds lack of sincerity and full on smugness from the OP. Are you Eric Cartman? (compliment)
Congratz.
Excuse me?
I was neither being insincere nor smug. I meant every word.
I guess some people just HAVE to be bitter and assume others are too. Yeesh.

Destroy ending with an Ashley romance, amiright?

Yo, krukow, again, Im'ma let you finish but Miranda Lawson had the best romance of all time.

Maybe you thought you didn't like the endings until it was explained to you in a manner similar Sesame Street? There is nothing in the EC that a person with half an imagination couldn't have presumed. I hate how you people must treat literature.Persephone wrote...

This was one huge, massive waste of time for absolutely everybody involved and I hate you all. *slams door, goes to bed*
I didn't like the endings. So, no. That's not true.

I didn't hate the endings. I thought they needed work and polish. Which they now have, IMHO.

To be fair, the original endings had the relays exploding (and I recall some developers discussing how the galaxy would be better off w/o them).
Also, the citadel looked like it was going to be destroyed(leaving me no idea how shep survived).
Also, the Normandy did not look like it would be space-worthy again.
...Other than that, yeah, destroy was pretty much the same as my head cannon.

It's a shame that the final levels are so atrociously bad to play through, as that's what is stopping me from playing them again to see the other endings.
Thanks Retakers!

I can understand why someone didnt like the endings regardless of how it turned out. Or didn't like em before but does now. Just cause someone say they like hamburgers doesn't mean they has to like it without the cheese and some pickles and a squrt of ketchup. Now they got that on thair hamburger and it is more to thair taste and they actually like it.
