Well, I dunno, your welcome?^^

The "victory" rings a bit hollow for me... we mostly gave our duo infernal (Hudson/Walters) another chance to show of their "artistic genius", but it could have been worse, I guess...

Personally, I picked up my ME2 femshep paragade playthrough again, and will take her to the new ending... I wouldn't have done that 2 months ago.^^

It's about 50/50 at the moment, skewing more towards the positive.

That's still a HUGE improvement over the 98% hate the original ending had. People who liked those endings were like the great white buffalos of gamers.

I doubt it.  This really did solve many peoples issues with the endings, and for more it's good enough that expending more effort in a 'fix it again!' campaign would be beside the point.  That's besides the people who've decided they're done with the whole thing.  It's time to let go.  What could be done has been done.  If you can't accept ME as it is now (and I'm certainly not going to blame you if you can't) it's time to vote with your feet.

I was happy with the EC. Its not perfect, the scene where Shepard lives still does not make any sense, but i still feel like this was the best that we were going to get.

I might actually be able to play through ME again!

I didn't like the endings. So, no. That's not true.

Ditto.

Still a little miffed that the theme of the game, hero against all odds, turned into an organics vs synthetics argument at the end out of nowhere.

That said, I stuck with Destruction the first time and the EC is a much better effort this time around. Its disappointing that the game shipped with such poor default endings though.

Coupled with the lackluster DA2, SWTOR, and the ME3 debacle, I'm a bit worried about Bioware.

To be honest, the main problem now lies with the actual levels themselves (and the lack of Rachni!), in that they are still poor examples of what a finale should be. Compare it to the ME2 finale, or previous missions in ME3 like Tuchunka, it's totally lackluster and dull. Hopefully they'll improve it somehow sometime, but I won't sit and hope =)

Its nice to see a positive thread toward both the Retake Movement and Bioware for once.

The line was held, Kirrahe would be proud.

And we will never forget those who made it happen, both Bioware and the Fans.

That EC has an open ending I can live with. It´s has enough information to asume what will happen with the Galaxy in the future, but leaves enough space on the fate of Shepard with some indicators (Destroy vs the other two endings with his nameplate).

And Joker was presented in a way I wished they would do. Wanted to stay till the end and was totally down when he must leave.

It doesn´t mean, that I won´t take future Bioware Games without caution. For that it needs at least another Game, that convinces me, that they still have it, but it´s a little ray of hope.

But for now just thank you Bioware for this EC, and thanks to all Retaker comrades, that you made it possible :wizard:

Completely agree with OP.

Actually I'm one of the few who liked the starbrat story from the beginning, but didn't like the poor execution (Normandy plot holes, consequences not fleshed out, lack of closure with squadmates)...

So I'm extremely happy with the EC improvements, specially the EDI/ Shep-Reaper monologues and the 'memorial' scene. And the 4th ending addition is very interesting/ funny.

Thank you both Retake movement and Bioware. Now the ending is though-provoking (every choice has its pros and its cons) and also a lot more satisfying and warmer than the original.

I didn't care for the original endings, what I've seen so far has addressed my concerns, thank you Retake movement, and more importantly, thank you Bioware for recognizing there was a problem and addressing it.

Neither did I.

Obviously it wasn't a hit with everyone who disliked the original endings, but it is false to claim that most of the people who like the EC liked the original endings.

I was really pleased with how the EC turned out. Thanks for showing your appreciation to the Retake movement. I think it was all worth it in the end.

Great to see you here, txmn :) It was a long journey, wasn't it? Image IPB

It was!  Nice to  see your face again (so to speak)!  I hope you enjoyed the outcome! :D

I still don't like the endings. In the original ending the Starbrat was a cardboard cutout WTF, but you knew it was an AI. Now you can see it is an absolutely ruthless bastard. It is "Space Hitler." You still get the same choices but better explained.

And on the synthesis.... ah yes, linking up with the reapers, essentially merging with them. I think I said something about this ... oh about a month ago... and it was shot down... uh... you can say it now... Julia, you were right. I love you. You love me. We're one happy family. Except we're green and not purple.

The only people who are satisfied are those who had very very minimal expectations, meaning only the really smart people.

I'm kidding, I'm really smart, but I just stil dont want to expect that this is the best we'll get.

It wasn't perfect by any means. But it makes me want to replay the games again. It left me satisfied and while it might've been bittersweet it left us with hope.

<3 Love my fellow Retakers. We made this game into something great.

I'm curious to know what the indoctrination theory folk will make of it though. I'm a bit of a fan even if I don't quite believe, and I want to see if they can find any new evidence from these extended endings.

Yeah, it made me enjoy the experience a lot more. Some caveats, but oh well, I don't hate the ending to ME anymore :V

Also my thanks to the movement, it was a lot of effort.
I didn't know it at the time, but I think I would only be content with a complete scrub of the beam/maurader shields part on.

I liked the original endings.

I disliked the Retake movement, mainly because of the more... "vocal" members of it..

But in the end, I have to say I'm impressed with what they accomplished. I never thought I'd enjoy the endings so much more with the EC.

Kudos to those of the Retake movement who stayed level-headed and provided their criticism in a constructive way so that we all got to enjoy the EC.

Could you please stop being a Bioware fan soon? I'd hate to be categorized with a worthless ingrate such as you.
