I never said it was broken.  I said for myself it isn't nealry as good an option anymore.  I'm not taking just the 10% reduction, because of the change I have to take duriation for the character to play the way I'm used to...so for me it's a change from 90% to 40%...that's a pretty big change.  is it still useable, sure, but is it less attractive then a sniper rifle with the level 6 evolution?  Indeed it is.  That's the only thing I was trying to say.  Honestly you seem to just want to argue for no apparent reason about something I stated as an opinion. :P

 I will continue to rock shotguns on non infiltrator classes, and win on gold, laughing every time i fire a shot  at how infiltrators are upset they got " gimped" when they still get to do almost double dmg.

Wild assumptions much?  I play engineer the most, though I do use all the classes from time to time minus Vanguard.  All the classes are great at doing certain things.  I change characters based on team mates and/or my mood.

Those krogan shotgunners are definitely by far worse shotgun classes than the glass cannon... Suggest you play all the classes and actually learn about each class or you'll come off not really knowing what its about

you stated in one of your initial posts that you only like to play optimal classes with the optimal skill set.
don't backtrack and then accuse me of wild assumptions, i am basing it off of what you said in the first place, not overstepping my bounds and jumping to conclusions. you basically said that shotgun infiltrator was no longer useful, because you have to spec for duration, and you are WRONG. you are still much better than every other class with a shotgun.

Well, I'll certainly have to have participated in their death now, because I have two seconds less distance between me and anyone I can save now. As an infiltrator who doesn't spam TC for damage, I am upset because my ability to help my team as an infiltrator is negatively impacted. I'm not saying that infiltrators are the only ones who can revive and do objectives, I'm just saying that since that is what I do with my infiltrator already, and that is all my infiltrator is really good at because I already take the durration to make me more effective at it, this two second reduction hurts me.

I don't like dying immediately after reviving someone who was half a map away from me. That is what is happening now. Your cries for balance have made me a less effective team player, and that is just fact. It isn't going to stop me from trying to do devices and revive people. It is going to stop me from smiling and saying nothing the next time someone on here goes off on infiltrators for "not doing their jobs". As everyone keeps saying here, obviously infiltrators aren't the only ones who can deactivate devices and revive people, and this change has certainly removed any doubt of that.

Note that I said for myself...  In my book shotguns are harder to use, and the pay off was worth it before when they did excellent damage...now the pay off is less and not worth it for myself.  I like to play the most optimal build of any given character I use.  SR are clearly the winner now.    As for that last part about any other class, that's really not something I'm sure on, but I will say that the Vorcha seem to do better with Shotty's then infiltrators to me.  -shrug-

This is my last post to you, because talking to you is like talking to a brick wall.  I said I like to use my characters with an optimal build...not that I like to use only optimal characters.  Also I should have gone into more detail on that, because I mean optimal to myself not on paper the very best build possible...because that is very subjective given that probably the best engineer would be the ones with Grenades and I hate grenades so yeah....I do have them on my male Quarian, because he just needs something, but I mostly use the geth or salarian engineer.  Geth with heal turret cause I want to stay alive and help my teammates.  yay for healing class.  ^_^

Yeah i'm loving the change as well, can't have your cake and eat it anymore with infiltrator.
But i think the only place it will be noticeable is on Gold, Bronze & Silver usually are no problem even without an infiltrator.

I dunno yet - I am going to have to run around this evening with my INF and see if he can still put out the juice.

Scoreboards is all about e-peen in my opinion. They matter for nothing but chest thumping pride. As an Infiltrator, for me the pride part is - I got in there and saved so-and-so. I cannot tell you how many times I end up having to drop everything and go save someone from turrets or phantoms - or just a room full of bad stuff.

Do I come out on top score? A lot of the time, yes. A lot of games I run that are bronze and silver in randoms I double peoples score, roughly. Its a fun class to play - and its great to get in there and whup the enemy - or save peoples bacon. As an infiltrator I have saved many a game with revives, as well as killing a LOT of the enemy, sneaking up on unsuspecting turrets - that sort of thing. I think that anyone who likes the infiltrator and likes being a team player will tell you - we do it because we like saving people, and we love kicking butt. I go off on my own so I am not kill stealing. I also prefer my targets only reacting to me - much easier to predict what they are going to do.

However, if the developers want to make it so I cannot cloak as often, or reduce my cloaks duration, or my overall damage, then you will find the team player attitude on the drop-off. I'm not sure why you are taking a baseball bat to my testicles - I didn't do anything to you. When someone has a favorite class that they are a serious machine at playing - why do you kill that class? Are you so full of hate that you cannot stand anyone having fun? Is it the scoreboards?

Do you guys even play infiltrators? Stop hating and see what we have to do - cause if theres an objective, I'm ON it. I have to be - most people do not even try if there is an infiltrator in game. "Why am I on the objective - let the Salarian do it!"

Well, go ahead and nerf the class then - make it suck as bad as the other classes do. I won't be a team player, I won't save lives, and they can sit there dead and watch me solo the map.

Looks to me like they're QME has grenades.  Not once in any post did Lee80alabama claim to sacrifice grenades for shields.

I've read your entire exchange with Lee80alabama.  He/She never once contradicted anything they said.  They had to make several clarifying statements because you seem to have a hard time comprehending simple sentences.  You on the other hand misrepresented what was said by Lee80alabama on more than one occasion.

Play infiltrator all the time.  Played like 10 games after the changes have gone through.  Revived teammates and did objectives just fine.  

Objectives - Look around, make sure the area is clear.  If it is surrounded by enemies, I dunno....shoot them?  If it's in an open area surrounded by enemies, then you're goign to need back up.  That's what the whole point of a team is.  But most of the time it's the same as usual, cloak to objective and go do it.

Reviving teammates - Don't just rush in like you're so used to doing.  Make sure you have an exit strategy or take down the enemies before you revive.  

People are so used to the crutch that is 8 seconds that they can't think outside of the box with only 4.  It's not that bad.  Infiltrators are STILL one of the most powerful classes.

^Whilst I'm tempted to be vindictive and let players bleed out at my feet, I won't. But I always have my Infiltrators specced for sniper damage, the reductions I think are somewhat excessive, but I can still throw out huge damage with a Widow or Javelin. So, I don't actually loose out.

It's the chaps who sit in cover and wait for me to do objectives which are going to suffer. If they want to me to grab an objective, then they either need to provide one hell of a distraction or do it themselves. So I'm no longer putting my neck on the line doing every objective and reviving the team, as I actually can't now. And I don't see why I should respec my characters for everyone else's benefit by taking Tac cloak duration evolutions.

While my snipers are groaning at the nerfs, overall I have to say I like this change. Infiltrators basically now have to choose between duration and damage, which means more variety on the battlefield. Considering that the new Gear kinda makes damage a bit of an overkill anyway, most of my Infiltrators will now respec to duration.
