what is this talk about "carrying" and "we".who is WE?A certain class does not carry a team.a good player does ,no matter the class.
yes Infiltrator was heavily used by the playerbase but i can tell 90% of them were below average or average at best.
Infiltrator had the Hunter syndrome,if you ever played WoW.every noob could play them but not everyone could play them to full effect.so dont talk about carrying.i have seen enough Gold lobbies where i had to do devices as a Soldier/Engineer and revive the Infiltrator multiple times per match.in fact the vast majority of my public games look like this.
Having the team provide covering fire while somebody is working on an objective is a strategy. One that was clearly weaker than Infiltrator running.Fox-snipe wrote...
I can't tell if you're trying to counter whateverman7's statement, but the part I highlighted from Eric's quote has just been reversed thanks to the duration nerf.
[Edit]Maybe if you could activate Cloak while in the process of dealing with an objective it wouldn't be so bad. Now there's not even any point in Cloak automatically disabling once an objective completes.
Instead, you now NEED your team to give some cover fire while working an objective, which does not help matters. It will only attract additional enemies to that position.

What exactly did Bioware do to the Infiltrator class?
June 12
Hunter Mode Power
- Base damage bonus decreased from 10% to 5%
- Rank 3 damage bonus decreased from 5% to 2.5%
- Base vision range decreased from 20 meters to 15 meters
- Evolution 5 vision range bonus increased from 50% to 60%
June 26
Tactical Cloak Power
- Base duration decreased from 8 to 4 seconds
- Evolution 1 duration bonus increased from 50% to 150%
- Base damage bonus decreased from 50% to 40%
- Evolution 6 sniper rifle damage bonus decreased from 40% to 25%
Wrong. The change does nothing to improve a weaker strategy, it ruined a stronger strategy. The weaker strategy is still just as weak. It's never a good idea to attract enemy attention to the objectives.CHAw wrote...

And still is, despite the balance change. I know my squad's still going to do Infiltrator running.

Sometimes, I just wish people would bother reading my older posts from other threads. Oh well, I can't really blame you here.Ghostknife72 wrote...

THIS! I think infiltrators (not all, but most) got a little too convinced they were all "great" players. With the TC, Krysae, Amp V, Amp III you should have been able to kill everything. It didn't take much skill with the aforementioned loadout. AoE sniper rifle with +50000000% damage bonus, c'mon now. Now we'll see who is real good (Widow, BW, Valiant snipers) and who was using the evolutionsKrysae as a crutch. If you are good you will still be effective. If not, well maybe find another class now.

Want to know the irony of the situation?
If a infiltrator goes for damage people will complain he isn't a team player.
If he goes for duration people will complain that his damage sucks and he's dragging the team down.
THIS
Or you can do both and still be awesome. But that would require tactics. You know the whole "tactical cloak" instead of "I WIN" button.
If these changes affect you that badly then I'm sorry.
You sucked to begin with. Time to find a new class or go back to silver.
All this QQ is hilarious. Play infiltrator 80% of the time and I love the changes.
We get it! You're Solid Snake, you're Altair, you're the lightning! You run this s***! You're the man with the golden eyeball!
You are under the mistaken impression that the covering fire strategy is less effective than it is supposed to be. This is incorrect - the weaker strategy is exactly where it's supposed to be, whereas the stronger strategy is still stronger than it should be, but closer to the right spot than it was before the change.Fox-snipe wrote...

Now though, it's far more likely that person (less likely to be an Infiltrator as well) will need some covering fire, which does indeed attract attention. You just nuked the strong strategy without doing anything to help the weaker.

You know, the people who didn't want Tactical Cloak nerf are screaming now just as much as they did before it got nerfed. Yet what is surprising, is the people who wanted the nerf and now got it, are crying as much as they did before the nerf, too. So, nothing has changed, really, right?

And they will keep doing so as long as there is an Infiltrator in the game.
Again: Where are you guys seeing this? Seriously, show me like.. Two or three people who match this description right now, please. I'm only asking for like two examples, even though you're saying EVERYBODY is doing this.
