TC over nerffed!

 I seen that you guys had nerffed the sniper damage by 15% I was fine with that but cutting the duration in half? makes it quite useless for objectives or revives but oh well at least is a pos now and "balanced" hahaha I knew if you guys decided to nerf it it would be overdone way to go

I guess you didn't notice that the duration bonus from rank 1 has been increased from 50% to 150%. If you take that option, the duration decrease isn't that dramatic.

Now you have to choose between doing objectives/reviving teammates and dish out some serious damage when cloaked. I don't see what's the problem here.

yea if you pick up the duration bonus and completely ignore pretty much all damage bonus that sniper bonus in 6 isnt enough I was hoping they would just nerf 4 down seeing how this is supposed to be a "sniping" class

You mean shoose between choosing between being able to aim and being able to deal less damage? Yeah, they destroyed TC.

The nerf is even bigger than you think, thanks to the multiplier nature of the Rank 6. It still one of the best powers in game. Stop whining.

also,if Infiltrator was the only thing that won Golds for you then you are not a real Gold player to begin with.in that case learn 2 play.

I think the change is good, it forces players to decide between huge burst damage dealer and less support capability, or good damage dealer and more support instead of getting both. This is what all power evolutions should be about, making a choice between play style types.

Just played a quick run Glacier/Cerberus/Gold with my GI. It's still godly :). So no worries to those who fear this nerf, infiltrator is still as awesome as ever.

That's the point of the nerf. To make players choose between having increased utility and survivability (when the cloak actually decides to work) or the freshly nerfed damage bonuses.

So basically, use a shotgun and ignore the objectives/dying squad mates. amirite?

We never WERE the "master class" we were a support class! We took down heavies wuickly so you didn't have to worry as you destroyed the mobs, and we revived you when you fell, heck, we cap'd those ranfomly placed activation objective for you so you didn't need to expose yourself from cover.

INFILTRATORS DID THEIR JOBS.

And now we can't even do one of those things. The duration keeps us from caping the objective undetected, and the dmg redux stops us from saving you from the heavies.

You're seriously happy about that??

It's really not that bad to be honest. Just that Infiltrators will now need support just like the rest of the other classes. They shouldn't have to do everything themselves.

I don't think support classes tend to come with some of the best burst damage in the game.

Which Infiltrators still have, by the way. The loss of 10%(not even because of how modifiers work) isn't going to knock them down into being useless at dps.

The Sniper damage thing is wierd since it encourages more shotgun infiltrators, but they were always better imo since the Claymore doesn't care about shield gating.

and yeah, you have to choose between utility and damage now. I like having to make meaningful choices, I wish they'd have more like that.

The nerf was unwarranted. No one complained about TC until the Krysae hit the scene. You either failed to identify or failed to admit that the root cause of the problem remains a single weapon, and not this particular power. When inflitrators were limited to single targets, you managed to keep score with them well enough

And don't be fooled, pro-nerfers, by the predominance of your self-congratulatory threads. You're as well organized (not to mention passionate - or single minded, depending on your perspective) as the Tea Party; that's it. Most players (many of whom do not, nor will ever, post here) are not on your side

IMO the nerf seems very balanced. I'm not usually pro-nerf, but I was fearing it would be much harder.
I don't play infiltrator a lot, but I don't want Infi-lovers to feel frustrated!
