Since the reapers are now nice guys in synthesis do you think Harbinger will let Joker joyride in him around the galaxy?

Yes. It was quite disgusting. Abominations everywhere. Are people really supposed to live happily along with Husks?

...Control was not that bad, it was quite inspiring--but I will stick with destroy and use YouTube for all else.

Ah, it seems that way... but smiling is all they're allowed to do now!

It was very creepy, I agree.

It's also pretentious as all hell.

The Reapers are damn MONSTERS, and now we're letting them off like nothing's happened.

I'll destroy those bastards for what they did without looking back.  Much less horrifying.

It's amazing, and by far one of the most satisfying endings. Control was also amazing.

I didn't choose synthesis before the EC because I found it horrifying. After discussing it a little more with the catalyst in the EC, it seems even worse. I've never been a big fan of the idea that uniformity is good.

I didn't realize they were all dressed in red and marching down Earth? I saw all the species still being their respective selves.

My body blah blah, shut up and take your altered DNA.

I'm serious, I would make the same choice in real life.

If you ever get into politics, I'm not voting for you.

Who said anything about voting? that's not what synthesis is about, you accept change or you get left behind.

I wanna say social Darwinism? Is this the right term?

Yep, synthesis is as bad as it ever was, just more graphically so. And as stupid as it ever was. I can understand EDI being happy with it but everything else about it remains vile. BioWare are obviously sticking to it, it really, really makes me wonder about these people. It really bothers me that some people can't see how bad it is on every level, both morally, scientifically, and in terms of what the hell it's supposed to do about the whole supposed problem.

Is it me or are there a lot of people with Geth avatars posting excessively positive comments? I'm never really believed companies hire people to go positive on forums but this makes me wonder.

Well probably just a coincidence.

Horrifying? Larry the Lone Huskiteer and the instant utopia were comedy gold!

LOL I know! We need a comic strip starring that guy or something! Would make for some great dark humor.

You know what's funny, actually?  Everyone loved their newfound knowledge and no one killed themselves.  And everyone was at peace.

The end.

As a room full of men made a legilation about women's reproductive rights, two women stood up and said we don't like that and tried to make a point by bringing men's reproductive rights into the bill. They were kicked out.

So a room full of men made the desicions for the women.

Didn't like Synthesis before somehow dislike it even more now, I do not want the Reapers the terror of the galaxy all powerful bringers of destruction to be best mates with the galaxy and they all live happily ever after.

Well thank God you're not in a position to do such a terrible thing.

Thank god you live in a country where the government never makes life altering decions for you

Synthesis doesn't even belong in the ME universe, shouldn't be an option.

It's so stupid and painful to see.

And the cataylst pretty much saying 'Synthesis is great, pick it, pick it now, it's the best choice and everyone will be happy for ever and ever' is ridiculous.

Destory is fine by me. All the races can keep their uniqueness and keep going on with life as if it was pre-Reaper once everything is fixed.

The Catalyst shilling for it so hard was exactly why I chose the other two. The Catalyst was created to be a diplomat to broker peace between organics and synthetics, so it forcibly harvested its creators and then enslaved them to harvest other life, creating a self-propagating cycle of pure evil. Anything it's in favor of has to be looked at with a critical eye, because it's clearly insane.

Also did anyone notice how this ending turns Keiji's greybox into a sentient being? It's not healthy for Kasumi, but it's still heartwarming.

And that is one of the main points as to why synthesis fails.  People will always be people.  They will always find a reason to kill each other.  But the whole "organics need protecting" thing kinda goes out the window since there would be no more organics either.  Would the catalyst then start caring about the survival of the Synergised?  He was originally designed to keep a balance between organics and synthetics.

With Organics gone and synthetics being able to be rebuilt - his solution was fixed by allowing synthetics to survive and removing the organic component.

There would still be wars and whatnot.

Regardless of what a cutscene shows - to me its just something they never sat down and actually thought about for more than 30 seconds.
