Thank you Bioware! This is so close to perfect I can't even complain. I was satified in the way you handled the EC. The ME games are my favorite game/story and I thank you for letting it end with dignity.

Oh damn, wanted to see if I can shoot the Starchild from a distance as well...:/ Guess what, you can. Now I gotta go through the end again xD

Ha! I did that as well, was about to shoot destroy when I thought "one last shot at the kid for the road"

I didn't even know that would trigger the refusal scene! I had chosen that on a previous run.

Luckily I ctrl+alt+del in time and the autosave was Shepard standing before the choices... phew!

While the new Ending is far from perfect - it is far far better than what it was before and all what could be realistically expected (if not more) after they announced to expand on the ending.

It has reconciled me with Mass Effect.

Really disappointed that the "Indoctrination Theory " failed to be correct. I however did find the closure for the ending of commander Shepard's journey so many of us were looking for with many questions answered. Regardless of the ending or the Extended Cut DLC (which has already been described as a "band-aid over a bullet hole", the Mass Effect franchise still remains my #1 favorite RPG experience period! Looking forward to the next chapter in the Mass Effect series.I'm sure that Bioware will look at the mistakes made in Shepard's trilogy and improve as we see more from them in regards to the ME universe. There's no other game that can match the level of story/player connection that they have managed to achieve with the series. Of course therye going to make mistakes as they go along. I would agree to an extent that it was more about the journey than the ending; after all isn't it the "journey" that made us fall in love with the series in the 1st place.l Thanks for making an awesome game guys! Keep it up! I think at this point we need to applaud them for making not 1 but 3 awesome games and further more because they spent money, time, and put a lot of hard work into giving fans what they asked for; which mind you they did not have to do. I admit I wasn't happy with the original endings but come on people give Bioware a break! To anyone that's still unhappy and complaining: You SUCK and now you are really just whining! Bioware- You guys are AWESOME, THANKS!

I finished my playthough with the EC last night, and I feel happily content. Thank you to the ME3 team for putting the time and effort to give us more closure and detail. It's a great improvement on the original ending where I felt very lost. I know not everyone will be or is happy, but I'm definitely thankful for the EC. Now can start another playthrough, and I'm looking forward to future DLC!

I just finished to go through the EC with the four saves I had. These saves had very different ME1/2/3 playthroughs.
The only thing I can say, well done Bioware! These new endings are not perfect, there are still some plotholes and unanswered questions, but does not matter. Why, because instead of the original ones which gave me rage this new versions gave me closure. Good, emotional closure, so my journies with Shepards I played countless hours during the recent years are in full circle now.

Well done, Bioware.

Now please make an awesome action/rpg in the Mass Effect universe and everything will be forgiven :D

But it better not be a prequel.

Thank you so much Bioware, the EC fixed the entire trilogy for me and I would have never thought that it would do so.

I am truly humbled.

I understand that the EC made the endings more palatable compared to the garbage we had, but how can so many ignore all the other literary, gameplay, and logical flaws in the game, and then claim that it's a "fitting" conclusion to the series? I'm not trying to attack anyone, but I just can't seem to understand the newfound love for these endings.

I have mixed feelings with the old ending, but the EC is FANTASTIC. I can´t say wich is better, the new cinematics, the wallpapers, the crew at the memorial (I´m not craying, something get in my eyes), but the new final and new scene after credits are great.

Thanks Bioware.

My only real complaint about the Extended Cut is that it shouldn't have been needed in the first place.

This is the ending(s) that should have been in the game when it shipped.

Gives me faith that Bioware still can pull off a fantastic finale.

This.  The EC has made me happy enough.  Had this been the ending we had when the game shipped I think the only thing I would have been sad about would have been not being with Kaidan.

Well done, BioWare.

I want Bioware to know that as an computer RPG player for 20+ years, I only tried ME because I got ME2 for free upon purchasing DA2 a little over a year ago. I decided at the time to purchase ME1 with the idea of making the ME2 experience more complete and chronological. I started ME1 with prejudice and did not like it until about halfway through. Then by the end of ME1 I liked it, a key reason being getting accustomed to my first shooter since Soldier of Fortune in 2000. I ended up loving it and immediately pressed on through ME2 and ME3, which were each better than the last. Great experience. Great story. Likely the best with the exception of the Dragon Age Warden-Morrigan relationship. As individual games and as a trilogy the story and characters may have been the best ever. Also, I am old enough to have seen the homage to the best of sci-fi in ME. Reapers like the Invid of Robotech, EDI like HAL of 2001, the "first transport is away" after the firing the canon through a blockade at one of the ME3 Cerberus sites, the Thresher Maw mother like the Sandworms of Dune. Unlike, Dragon Age who to date only had Morrigan as an interesting romance option, I agonized between Tali and Miranda. Tali edged out Miranda by a hair (had to see under the mask--and was frustrated in ME1 not being able to romance her). In short, great job Bioware. Now let's see if you guys can fix Dragon Age and get it back up to snuff. Bring back the Warden and let the Morrigan/OGB, Templar/Mage war play out. Great job on ME. ME series is the Masterpiece of computer RPGs. That's especially valuable coming from a fantasy RPG fan who doesn't particularly like shooters. BTW, DA2 Hawke mage was also a breakthrough in combat gameplay. Never enjoyed playing a mage until then. Keep all the good, and improve the not so good in your games.

The fact that EA let Bioware do this for us should prove that EA actually has a heart. It takes real guts to say, here's some extra money Bioware. Now go make your fans happy. It's also good to know that Bioware is still Bioware and have a large influence on what they make. I liked the original endings...I love the EC. I am eagerly looking forward to Dragon Age III...I can not wait to see what they come up with as they are actually taking time with this one!

Thank you Bioware! :o

EC doesn't touch "Indoctrination Theory " at all. That is awesome work you've done here, Bioware. Thank you for that.

Not perfect, but satisfactory. I can live with that. Thank you, Bioware, my faith in you is restored.

Although I can't help but say that now with extension, the Synthesis Ending rubs me the wrong way even harder than it did before. It's too fairy taily - your choice turns the entire universe into heaven where everyone is at peace and immortal. Too simple, too unreal. And of course, it goes against the spirit of ME, where races come together in spite of their differences. But that's just one option. There is always the Control Ending. Make Shepard a god. Good stuff.

Since our voices have been heard and Bioware delivered a very awesome fix, shouldn't we now start a Bioware "Thank You" Campaign? Flood them with cards of thanks and maybe more cupcakes.

It just seems right. The EC saved these games for me and many other people. We should express our thanks to Bioware accordingly.

Awesome to view the Normandy rescue scene at the beam. More scenes with Hackett confirming Shepard is onboard the Citadel. More combat scenes. Fleshed out dialogue with the Catalyst explaining things more clearly and logically. Scenes explaining why Joker and the crew is getting away, with scenes even showing the Crucible destroying the first mass relay. And we even get to see the Normandy take off from its garden planet, and not to mention Eve with a Krogan baby! :)

Awesome stuff, indeed. Thank you, BioWare. Finally Mass Effect 3 is a whole complete game.

Thank you Bioware for closure EC brought me! Awesome work!

Now you guys can start developing more dlc for the single player :)

This man speaks my words.

Well done Bioware. Good to see you haven't lost your touch after all (still prefer the evil destroy ending but thats because my Shep is Jack Damn Bauer damn it! :P).

Now all we need is a slew of SP DLC like we got in ME2, and Mass Effect can then become more powerful than you can possibly imagine.

I think the Canadians should do it first. Have you any idea how much it costs to send cupcakes to Canada from UK? :P

If Bioware want a personal thank you from me, I'll send one along with my N7 mug order... when they restock them.
