Thank you for the kind words.

Yeah seriously! I was into the game any way and was fine with the ending and was excited about the EC too. I replayed back before the Cerb Base and then through to the end. As I was playing the last chunk I was reminded how much I enjoyed the game and how awesome it looked and felt. The EC was so smoothly intergrated and managed to keep the errie/ sad// awesome feeling that I had pre-EC. Oh and the extended space battle at the end? RAWK! ME3 is wonderful, the EC was super awesome and I just wanted to make sure I said thank you. Cheers!

It's a step up, for sure. While I did pay you for the game and feel that the EC should have come with it all along, I'm glad that you guys fixed some of the problems with the release endings, so thanks for that work.

Still not quite what I would have hoped for the series. Always felt to me like it deserved an epically long and detailed epilogue after a stereotypical heroic victory (at its best, of course, with variations going down the line). Superweapons are, after all, already non-conventional on their own. The Crucible felt like the One Ring more than anything, until you find out that it will require some sort of abominable philosophical reaper master who can't even be bothered to stop slaughtering your comrades around you while he explains your options.

But I guess that no matter how much I hope for that, and no matter how much this ending feels like a violation in many ways, it's the one we have to swallow beyond headcanon.

Gah, I've gone to ranting again out of sadness. Just goes to show how much this series did matter to me.

So thanks for the Mass Effect Trilogy, and thanks for at least improving its ending and for the work you guys put into that. The EC was definitely a huge improvement over the release ending as far as closure and some details go.

I'd like to thank you too. Only finished now, and checked out only one option, but waaay better than before. Uplifting, has that heroic and epic feel the original missed so much.
Also the additional clarifications about the background is great, serves the events well.
The trilogy may not be perfect, bit still a masterpiece, and a real scifi epic in all terms.

Can't wait what will you show us of this great universe next time.

I still have a few misgivings about Bioware's customer relations and PR issues but they will pass and I will probably forgive and forget eventually. As far as the EC goes however, well let's just say I have put Mass Effect 3 back in my console for the firt time since my first playthrough in March. I think it will stay there for awhile now, then I will need to start a couple of new careers from ME1 again.

Thanks Bioware. Can we be pals again? ~extends hand in friendship~

Just chiming in to say that I thoroughly enjoyed the EC. Needed it, I know you guys at Bioware must be enjoying this praise rather than the bashing the games ending originally had. We got we wanted in the end, through that we were called 'entitled' and 'ungrateful' by IGN's Colin Moriarty. Send him a tweet with a #suckit in it. I hope that guy is scoffing hard on his words right now, because this outcome was something spectacular. One hundred times better than what the game originally had. Thanks again Bioware, for listening and not being a douche.

Finally finished EC and was pleased.

Up until I didn't see my name in the special thanks at the end for writing the basis for the Reaper origins for them two years ago.

Even tossing out the word "catalyst".

Oh well, glowy green eyes forever!

I loved the EC bioware! It was amazing!

I was satisfied with the origional endinding to begin with, but the EC answered alot of my questions, gave some more explanation and closure. When the credits rolled i cried for a good 5 minutes. Beautifull work.

Only thing I wanted to see was Shepard being reuinited with Liara. But when Liara didn't let go of Shepard's nameplate, I knew she had hope. (Destroy ending BTW)

I just finished to go through the EC with the four saves I had. These saves had very different ME1/2/3 playthroughs.
The only thing I can say, well done Bioware! These new endings are not perfect, there are still some plotholes and unanswered questions, but does not matter. Why, because instead of the original ones which gave me rage this new versions gave me closure. Good, emotional closure, so my journies with Shepards I played countless hours during the recent years are in full circle now.

Well done, Bioware.

Now please make an awesome action/rpg in the Mass Effect universe and everything will be forgiven :D

This.

While the previous ones left the taste of ash in my mouth, the new ones that I've experienced so far are bittersweet but hint at redemption, hope and a heroic accomplishment.  They nicely tie into the players experience and do bring a sense of closure to an epic story.  Thanks to the team at Bioware for clearly listening to the feedback and doing what they could to accomodate it.

All I can say, is bravo. I was so pissed/hurt with the shortness of the first one that I haven't had ME3 in my console since experiencing that. I was skeptical to say the least that something like this could be done...... and I was wrong. I will agree with some of the others and say that plot holes still remain. However these don't feel like the gaping ones from before. I sat in disbelief for about 10 minutes or so. Even shed a little tear. Why? Because the series I have sunk countless hours into now feels complete, or at the very least, far more complete then it did before. Thank you from a very happy ME head. :)

Bioware excellently done. Whilst previously I had not openly criticized the ending, I did feel a lack of closure and almost a sense of rushed work towards the ending. The new DLC rectified a lot of issues, packed emotional punch and tied a lot of loose endings. Whilst you did not have to do anything to appease your fans , I am simply amazed that you have gone above and beyond what was required to finish this excellent masterpiece which is the Mass Effect series. Personally I cant wait to see what in store for the future of this game and franchise as a whole . Well done.

Bioware, I really appreciate all of you folk doing this for us. Like many others, the original ending had put me off of ME3, but I was so pleased with your work on EC that I finally started on a second play-through.

It's a work in progress.

This was a real ride. And with a few great moments now, some good epilogue, some black holes floating around (but that may be the EZo cores of drestoyed ships) and good explanation. And actually a NEW fourth ending too. Which I thought was a real nice move.

well done Bioware. Glad to have you back :)

I will admit, I downloaded the EC today with less than high hopes of what might be at the other end of of the push to take Earth back. I was not a fan of the concept of the original endings, and felt that any chance to rectify the discrepancies would likely be a fool's errand.

It's good to be proven wrong. While the new endings are by no means perfect and still have a few plotholes or strange character motivations, the overall flow of the ending, the final decision and the epilogue feels meaningful. The epilogue has weight and substance.

Well done, Bioware. Rest well in the knowledge that you delivered.

Just finished my first play through with the EC installed...it was great. Much better ending to the trilogy. Bravo.

I only have one question. Why wasn't some of this stuff in the original ending?

If you knew the answer to that, would it really matter? To you, personally? The EC endings are fantastic, and in my opinion, they elevate the Mass Effect trilogy into something truely special. Most people have exactly what they wanted now, time to let the old quibbles go. Bioware know the passion and strength of feeling of their fans, and they know what standards they need to achieve next time to satisfy their hugely demanding audience. Everyone wins here.

Finally a proper emotional ending instead of an ending that just makes you stare your screen in disbelief when the credits roll. You've made a grown up man cry again, well done.

Some of the still screens could have been better polished, but they were still good enough.

Indeed, well done.
I'm not sure, why you, BW, didn't go with this version in the first place, but to me as a standard player, it seems much tidier now.

Looking forward to Comic Con.

I completely agree. I went in with low expectations, chose the same ending as before (Control) and was amazed at what happened - before I was just confused. And this time my Shepard thought of his LI Tali instead of Liara! Being able to question the Catalyst was great too, and saying "I don't believe you" when told that the galaxy isn't strong enough to defeat the Reapers without using the Catalyst, only for the Catalyst to reply "Your belief isn't required" was amazing! You kept his character pefectly arrogant and superior, while still allowing us to question him.

After the original ending I quickly joined the heated discussions and watched the other endings on youtube for proof that they were all the same. But now, I don't want to watch the alternate endings. Control was so good, and I've heard great things about the others too, that I'm happy knowing that truly different endings await my future playthroughs of the trilogy.

Thanks Bioware! I love you for this dedication to your fans! Not enough to pre-order DA3, but still a heck of a lot :P

It was all for the best

Bioware listened to the community but also kept their integrity and preserved the ending of their choice.

I am relieved

I thank you for the series, one of the best, ever.

All in all, I will say that these new ending(s) leave me with a much better attitude.  I got the closure I wanted.  I feel like my Shepard accomplished his goal.  There was heart and soul in the new scenes.

I also feel that each ending is entirely different.  This makes the choices tough.  I wanted the choices to be tough!  There is no fix it now, I want daisies and unicorns and ponies button/choice.  Each decision has consequences!

You guys did it!  You listened - just exactly like you said you would.

Thank you, Bioware!

I loved the EC! The bit with the squadmates being evacuated was amazing! The only thing I was sad to see was no reunion with her LI, but Garrus refused to put the plate up, and Shep was breathing, so I am sure they will be reunited.
