still the same starkid, still the same coulour non-choice, a few slideshows.
it is not because they added EDI monolgue in the synthesis ending that i find it more acceptable. It just looks like the bright and pretty paper wrapping a christmas gift. It shines, that's all.
in the end, everybody loves EC because it seems to explain the endings, and everybody forgets about the flaws in the very narrative plot. in a way, i think it is sad. So no, EC is not 4x better, it is for me an illusion of better.

The EC didn't fix my problems with ending (doing that would have required a complete change) but what they did add was really good. The ending scene for Synthesis where my LI (Liara) and EDI hugged each other made me cry. I felt satisfied when the credits rolled this time, which was missing for me in the original ending. And that feeling is good enough for me

You summed up pretty well what I think of the EC. It was well done, but a totally different ending would have been better, obviously.

It's still terrible though.
food for thought, if shepard can come back to life with his memories and personality intact, i don't see why the same can't be done for edi and the geth..
think... remember when legion showed shepard the model of the geth intelligence/consciousness with the reaper code? It was a brain at that point pretty much.. also the geth ARE software mainly, and i doubt the destroy pulse would kill the software, just the hardware.
