Oh, for the love of Mordin let there be a Super Barrel/Penetration mod for SMGs.  The havoc I could reap with a Hurricane or GPSMG.

I was already looking in the files because apparently there is SP DLC data that is for something completely different from EC and I found that Super Scope has Thermal Vision.

Interesting.
Melee mod for AR, Headshot mod for HP, HP ultralight mod (probably because pistols are too weak and nobody using them lol), another HP damage mod, Stability mod for SMG and SMG piercing mod - I want them now!
New piercing mods for SG, SR and AR, new SG melee mod and new scope mod for AR - well, they may be useful for someone.
SR scope mod that will increase accuracy and increase weapon weight - lolwut? I guess there always must be something useless.
Also, nice model they have there- much better then those weapon mod we have now.
Time to credit hoarding.

I wonder if new thermal scope will allow you to see through walls/cloak/smoke like Javelin. Would be nice addition for AR/SR :)

My guess on the new "thermal" scopes is that they are: Higher accuracy bonus than existing mods, possibly to the point of pin-point accuracy. More powerful zoom. Infrared/thermal vision mode when scoped in. OR it might highlight weak points for "easier" crits, so to speak.

Thermal vision sounds interesting. If it actually works like a thermal scope, it would see through smoke a lot better than that sniper rifle mod. But also like the sniper rifle mod, its usage would be very situational.

Sniper Rifle Thermal Scope and High Velocity Barrels would go a long way towards making guns like the Viper a more fun toy to play with.

The SMG High Velocity Barrel would be FANTASTIC for the Hurricane.

They all seem to be things we already have but with a downside to them ...... Also why would they create ultralight materials for a pistol when the one for SMGs are broken .... .If they introduce these nobody will use them at all ....

Outside of the Thermal Scope; which likely will give us Javelin/Hunter Mode or something similar, they seem to give the same bonuses as two of the existing attachments.

These sound pretty cool.  Still, if they add like a dozen new mods that all successfully increase the weight of existing (non-Geth) weapons and still haven't fixed ULM, then I think it's safe to assume that they don't intend on fixing it.

Why?

If you take a High Velocity Barrel(as an example), you don't need to take a Piercing Mod and you feasibly cannot take an extended barrel.

There will definitely be some interesting combinations though.

I'm thinking:
Viper X with Thermal Scope and High Velocity Barrel might be interesting.
