For pistol ULM - I'm not sure which would make me facepalm more... if it totally doesn't work for pistols either, or if it works for every single one of them and ULM still doesn't get fixed for SMG's.

Yeah melee on silver is fine too.
Melee only really sucks on gold because of insta kills and it's lack of damage against armor.

I can do okay on Gold with a full melee Krentinel and melee mod. You may die at times, but you're a very good distraction for bosses and troopers alike.Mysterious Stranger 0.0 wrote...

Not gonna say melee is not viable on gold. (Except maybe against geth)
Just not as good as your other spec options.

I agree, I do quite well with my melee Krogan Sentinel on gold. It is less efficient than on silver but that's the nature of gold I think.
Maybe you and I just know how to make it work and others don't, I don't know.

I wonder if you can combine blade + omniblade for mega melee damage, or if they are upgrades to old versions, or if they are separate models.

I always wondered why there were no blades for other guns, but Bioware resolved that problem.
SMGs need those mods, I hate using AP equipement just to go through guardians and the stability will help the hornet and hurricane.
