"Well, child, it was all so very long ago that most of the details were lost to time.  Fortunately, these details were mostly decisions that Shepard made along his way to his meeting with the Catalyst.  These decisons may have seemed momentous when he made them but, ultimately, they proved not to have any consequences whatsoever.  At least, they didn't effect the final outcome of the Reaper War.  They didn't effect anything, really.  Oh, maybe a few numbers here and there changed on a computer screen but otherwise you'd have never known that they had ever happened."

"Are there any other stories about the Shepard, grandpa?"

"Yes, but wouldn't you rather hear some stories about the fascinating soldier man Coates?"
