I seem to be having trouble with the single player campaign

The problem occurs when loaded up a saved file from before the Cerberus Headquarters mission and I complete that mission OK but then problem starts the happen in the second part of the London mission when I cleared the second room with the open able door and with Cannibals and Marauders in it, it is the room before the alleyway with the two Brutes.

Anyway I can't open the door and process any further to the missile batteries because the door with on open and left it for about 10 - 15 minutes and still would not open, yet the thing is I was able to finish the game before I downloaded the "Extended Cut" DLC. I tried to load a save or restart the London mission my Xbox 360 just keeps crashing on me.

The other missions seem to unaffected as well as the multiplayer.

I would like to know is there away to fix the problem or should I just never play the single player again?

I wasn't bothered by the original ending until now. :/
Oh well I just watched it on youtube not the same as getting your specific save data in, but oh well It looks as if Mass Effect is being purposely destroyed at this point.

IMHO I do believe they delayed the game to butcher the ending.
I bet the real ending was too good lol. That's just my wild conspiracy theory though..

I'm having issues of my own. I believe I have been seeing new stuff until now (was there originally a conversation choice in the scene with star-brat?) but I'm not sure.

1st time I played it: Does nothing new after the credits, just shows the Stargazer at the end and nothing more.
2nd time: The color in the cutscenes goes haywire and the vocal tracks don't play during the Stargazer scene.
3rd time (after reinstall of the EC) nothing happens again, but no issues

I've deleted it and am going to try again as well as deleting the cashe... this is really frustrating right now in all honesty

Similar issues here...

I have tried 3 times to get the extended ending to work. Downloaded the DLC, played the game from the last earth checkpoint - old ending. Shut down the console, and rebooted. Try two, loaded from before the assault on the cerberus base - old ending. Shut down, re-downloaded, loaded from before the assault on the Cerberus base - old ending. Am I missing some obvious step in the process?!

I just got done with an EA live chat and here's what EA customer Support claims:

Anil: Thanks for contacting EA Help! My name is Anil how may I help you?

you: I am having issues with the new Extended cut DLC for Mass Effect 3. I have already completed the entire campagin on Normal once, waited about three months until now when the DLC was announced, downloaded the DLC inside Mass Effect 3 game (Main Menu > DLC > Extended Cut). I did not leave the download screen and waited for the download to complete. I tried going to load a game and saw no 'Legend' Save and just went ahead with my original saved game, played from the Cerberus Station all the way to the end and nothing extra appeared. So I shut down my xbox, restarted it, loaded Mass Effect 3 again, went to load the 'legend' save, and their was no save with 'Legend' anywhere. So I uninstalled the DLC, restarted the Xbox, went back into Mass Effect 3 and re-downloaded the content again, restarted my xbox again, loaded Mass Effect 3 again, went to load games and still no 'Legend' save game was available. So I restarted another Save point, Re-assaulted the Cerberus Station and played all the way through Earth yet again, and still no change in the endings. I watched all of the credits including after the credits, and nothing changed. What is wrong with the DLC?

Anil: Please try some troubleshooting steps I am providing they may help you .

you: The clear cache content is greyed out, I cannot clear it. I believe I already did clear the cache, i just do not remember when though

So basically EA is just going to play dumb and not blame themselves for releasing bugged DLC.

Also I saw on Mass Effects website [http://www.masseffec.../extended_cut/] That they claim a 'legend' save pops up when you beat the game.

On EAs site [https://help.ea.com/...ending-dlc-faq] They say to just load any save game from before the [SPOILERS] Assault on Cerberus Station. and It will auto play the DLC when the ending is near...

So basically we're all screwed three ways to Sunday. We all just downloaded [and re-downloaded] 2GBs worth of useless videos that EA never wants us to see....

I downloaded the EC via a background download and it has a checkmark in the DLC menu (same as shown for multiplayer DLC I have installed) so I assumed the EC was installed/downloaded correctly. I specifically verified this before playing to ensure it had downloaded completely because I didn't want to play through the original ending again. But upon playing from before the Cerberus mission as instructed, there is no change to the ending.

This is very frustrating to people with limited time or inclination to troubleshoot these issues--this is one reason I gave up on PC gaming and moved to consoles.

I will try the 'Comrade Bork' download method in this thread (UPDATE: this worked for me, basically you have to re-download the DLC and make sure you do not navigate away from that window until it is complete. Make sure your Xbox does not shut itself off due to the power saving feature. And a spoiler-free way to know it is working: something substantially different happens on your run to the Citadel beam.)

Yep, I've done 3 playthroughs with the crappy endings. Once after downloading, twice after Xbox reboot and redownloaded for three. Still no change.

I'm sorry for you all about your problems, for me it just went smoothly.
I downloaded it from Xbox Marketplace (not via ingame DLC page).
The first time I started the game, tha game told me that I need an Online Pass to play online, that was my indications that the game probably didn't recognize the installed content.
So I restarted the game and this time the message didn't appear, so I was sure that all DLC were working.
And they did, EC worked flawlessly, no single crash whatsoever.

For everyone who's wondering why the official FAQ suggests starting from TIM's base, it's just the safest way to assure that you don't miss the content pre-beam as once you completed tha game, you start before TIM's base and won't be able to restart the London mission.

Ok, getting pretty frustrated EA.  I've downloaded the EC DLC 3 times now and restarted the xbox and game.  Still not Legend save and no change in the gameplay even if I start before the Cerberus base.  Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?  I have the game installed on my xbox, does that make a difference??

I figured out my problem. The downloader just stopped at every 40% and said it was downloaded. Redownloading started it from where it was left off and I just beat it.
