I know this will get buried amongst the many posts that are being created.

But, here goes.

First, a thank you. Thank you to the hard work that you did for free. Thank you for making me sob man tears once again. My only wish is that the endings (I chose destroy) that you updated had been in game to begin with.

Thank you for enduring the general dislike for the first set of endings. I admit, I was among that crowd before rage settled into logic. I, as an artist, know what it's like when someone doesn't appreciate something. It's.. difficult. I know how hard it is to handle. It's very emotional.

Was the EC enough? I guess that depends on who you ask. Do I feel it could have been more? Yes. Given all the "control" we were given throughout the series, we should have been granted such control when it came to the endings. I understand artistic vision and your desire to keep it as such. But it shouldn't have been changed at the very end. For those that would have liked a "happily ever after", they should have been given the option of doing so.

I understand, from official word (I think Tully said this as well), that the journey of Shepard ends with the EC. I understand your decision on this matter. Unfortunately that means my journay with Mass Effect has also come to an end. Barring a surprise Reunion DLC, I don't see me downloading anything else from here on out. Not because I hate Bioware or because of any spite I might feel, but because my emotional ties are with the main character. I just don't see how any SP DLC in the middle of the game (knowing how it will likely end) will spur the download from my end.

With that said, I actually understand your artistic vision. How many movies have been made about organic vs. synthetic? Many. I understand the point you're trying to make. It's noble.

I hope that in the future you'll take fan reaction to heart, as I know you have recently. Even those that say they absolutely hate the endings, even with the new EC, cannot say that they didn't love the game. You cannot know hate without love and you cannot know love wihout hate. Please try and take future criticism with a grain of salt. Even those filled with hate, have loved you at some point. It just shows their passion for the series. And you cannot create passion without creating emotional ties. They can deny their love all they want. The truth is in their hate.

A final word, then. Barring a surprise DLC, my journey with Mass Effect ends now. Once again, thank you for all of your hard work, even though it's not quite what I had hoped for. Mass Effect, for me, is Shepard. Without him, it's simply not Mass Effect, no matter how cool of DLC you manage to release afterwards.

i still have faith, Bioware, that Dragon Age 3 will be the RPG we all hope for. I hope all of you who created this game can take a deep breath, and not only take the praise with a smile, but take the criticism as well.

Thank you, again. I need to go dry my eyes. Barring a surprise DLC, this will be the last post I make on the forums.

God speed sir, your civil post carries weight, though, honesty and should be at least recognized.

I can only hope DA3 isn't a total let down. Time will tell.

Thank you for your words. I like to believe I understand both sides now, from rage to love. In the end, it's amazing to me how a simple video game has created extreme ends of either. I think that says something.
