My GI. My Quarians and one of my Humans however, will spec for it. Oh, and my Salarian needs Duration to, you know, hold the line.

very few people will. and the cost will be a lot more failure. Yes you will occasionally get the "healer" type of player, but this game demands damage, and that is where most people will spec.

What's you name ingame? So I can leave if I see you of course. Forgive my hostility, I am currently angry at an infil with a krysae blowing up everything in front of my vorcha sentinel before I can kill it, thus killing me in the neighborhood of 17 times. Can you guess how many times he rez'd me?

I am one of those, for I am confident that I can still revive my team with a 5.2 cloak duration. It is good enough.

Cap your own goals and heal yourselves and while your doing it make sure you don't complain because this is what you asked for.

I do believe that "in-front of me" is only about 25% of the space around me.

I probably wont spec for it.

But that's pretty much entirely because I spend my respec cards almost as soon as I get them, and I don't really want to promote my Infiltrator class.

If I run out of things to do with my respec cards, I'll probably respec some of them into duration.

So your teammates asked to be abandoned by butthurt power players? When an infiltrator goes down, and I'm not playing mine, I revive him, with far less (as in zero) cloak time. Same with capping objectives. Wow. Just wow.

Well, considering enemies tend to come from all directions and the Vorcha requiring kill stacks to both be efficient and live long when taking fire... I would imagine that's how.

As the above poster said.... in front of him just covers 25% of the actual battlefield.

I should start a "most players are bad, and cannot complete objectives so I'm going to spec for duration because if I don't do it, it won't ever get done, god forbid I get sync killed." club.

It might at least cause an uproar on the forums and get the change reversed.  I mean the whining did in fact get this whole shindig started in the first place. "Reap what you sow"?

As an Infiltrator most of the times I went down were away from mobs (trying to reposition and an errant grenade or shot downed my while already being weak) or while trying to revive someone in a bad position. (In which case just leave me.  Or at least control the crowd first, something I couldn't do.)  But then I'm the sniping variety, and tried not to put myself into those dangerous revive spots so my team wouldn't (1) get killed trying to help me, and (2) easily revive me and I can continue to help them.

Um, no. It's about making sure we ain't turned into players whose only purpose is to enable/disable devices (IF THAT OBJECTIVE EVEN COMES UP) and/or heal some moron who intentionally split up from the group and decided to solo it on the other side of the map.

We want to contribute in terms of kills too, not just to sit around like a tool waiting to be used.

I still don't see the point in spec'ing for duration, even now. The amount of times I'm cloaked more than 5s (when I do play inf, which is not that often) is certainly far less than the amount of times I'm cloaked for nearly no time at all. Pure numbers game, really.

As for objectives, well, I'll just treat them like I do when there's no inf. on the team. Keep things distracted from whoever is doing the objective.. and that's that, really.

You could argue that killing enemies makes you more of a team player than a Duration spec'd INF that takes initiative with objectives and revives. Everyone should be going for objectives, and everyone (not just the INF) should be reviving teammates.

Well at least ppl can finally be honest about the class and drop all this "but I luv to do objectivez" bull.

My GI will be specced for dmg and salarian for duration.

By that same logic all adepts and soldiers belong to that club. What else do the do but kill.
Infact what class does anything other than kill?

Haven't tested it out at length yet, but I feel like I can still kill at almost the same level with my sniping Infils set for duration. What cracks me up is the number of people thinking that this will lead to more shotty Infils.

For sniping, we can take duration and the SR bonus. Both lower, but still a lot of damage on a good SR. With shotguns, I usually like to take the fourth slot damage bonus and and leave it at that. Now I'll have to take duration there if I want to get in nice and close with the shotgun, leaving me with no more than the base damage bonus. Sure, a Claymore X will still wreck stuff, but really I feel like they just made the Tac Cloak MORE about sniping and LESS useful for shotguns.

So, short version: Taking duration won't hurt sniper Infils that bad. Shotgun Infils are gonna be hurting much more. My 2 cents.
