I can't seem to get loghain to surrender after I lost the vote in the arena. I brought him down to 0 HP in seconds, but after that he keeps taking 0 damage and I've seen him singlehandedly kill my party and all the supporters 3 times now.

I'm running the latest vesrion of the game (1.02) and I'm pretty stuck now .

Any hints, tips, hacks, whetever works...

Finally managed to convince the council to vote for me. That solved it. Very irritating though!

I personally thought it absolutely disgusting that there was no save between the battle and then the one on one! Win the first, lose the second and you have to go though the first again to have another go at the second!

agreed... a few more autosaves in the end would make it to easy to test all the options I guess....

I had a problem with Loghain AFTER I executed him. His disembodied voice would speak in cutscenes in which I guess he speaks in if you decide to recruit him, lol. Suprised the hell out of me the first time it happened. How can you kill that which has no life...

I've encountered the same problem as the first person in this post, Loghain simply will not surrender or die, i rather hate having to revert to a save back when i first talked with the queen however it seems that is the only way to get all the votes and make it past the battle.

it has nearly destroyed the game for me. i thought this was supposed to be a flexible game with a varying storyline but this single bug prevents the very path that i Wished to take. well than again perhaps there isn't more to this path programmed in. i had intended on having Alistar become the king without marrying the current queen if that was even possible. but regardless of all that simply by having to go back and redo this (fortunately i had a save) i have lost several hours of game play that i will haves to dredge through again and be bored off my arse doing so.. thank you so much for that.

Looking forward to the next update...

I killed loghain with no problem at all, i lost the voting, we started fighting, i won, he surrenders, we go onto teh head to head, i win again......so.... no problem here. It works fine if you loose the vote and have to kick his evil behind. Guess it's just that "Somebody has it, somebody hasn't got it" error. Or it's the latest patch, didn't lost the vote yet with the latest patch......hmm, i should try and loose and see what happens.....

I beat Loghain and his men in two different games then dueled him in single combat - no problem. Since I installed patch 1.02 I have played two more games and have encountered the 0 points bug. The patch is my best guess. Seems like they could do an easy fix.

i have the same problem. loghain gets 0 dmg and the cutscene does not start. is there perhaps a possibility to force a cutscene via console?!

Likewise, he won't die for me either. This is actually on my second playthrough... on my first, I killed him in a one-on-one duel. This time around, although I get all the votes except for one, for some reason Loghain still acts like he won and orders the party arrested. Then in the ensuing battle, his health won't drop below zero. Extremely aggravating. The whole playthrough is now broken for me.

i've killed loghain but he speaks in cut scenes, invisible. it's ruined the ending for me and i haven't got an earlier save, help?
