I've only played a handful of trilogies off the top of my head. Ultima
4, 5, and 6(aka the Age of Enlightenment). Fallout 1, 2, and New Vegas(3
is more of a spinoff). Baldur's Gate 1/2 + Throne of Bhaal. Neverwinter Nights, Shadows of Undrentide, and Hordes of the Underdark. And maybe DA:O, DA:O-A
and DA2 are considered a trilogy? Although that's a miserable one. I'd
have to pick Fallout. Other 'trilogies' had better games, but Fallout is
the most consistent in quality imo.

1. Can I include just Fallout 1 and 2? If not screw you guys I don't care. Fallout 3 doesn't exist to me and I still haven't played New Vegas.

No way. New Vegas needs to go to the top of your game queue right now. The strip is too good to be passed up.

I'm going with one that's not yet complete:

Eschalon Book I and Book II (Book III is being worked on but not yet available).

This is so cool to see! There are alot of like-minded people here with great taste in games! The most exciting part of asking people this is hearing about games i dont know very much about - and they stand in the company of some really amazing games that i do know of! - so i have some games to look up!
There are a few more honorable mentions from my original post that some of you have already highlighted - though i still stand behind my top 3, but metal gear, god of war, assassins creed, prince of persia (sands of time) are all really great. This one might irk some people (not sure why!) but i also really enjoyed the modern warfare games, certainly not a great deal of depth story/concept wise, but they are very fun to play in a micheal bay blockbuster type of way.

Only trilogy I've played is Mass Effect. Everything else I've played seems to only 2 games or 4+ in a series.

Trilogy is a bit narrow selection. Not many games have trilogy format, some have 2 games in a series some have 15 but a trilogy is limited to 3 then no more. Now if go by series then I have lots I could list but trilogy not many spring to mind.

Gears of War...and that's pretty much it. I haven't played too many trilogies.

Mass Effect and then maybe.... Fable? Fable was pretty nifty, I'll go with that.

Oh yeah I forgot about Fable. I liked Fable III's combat because of the finishing moves.

Mass Effect series (specially second part was great)

Sands of Time trilogy (though Warrior Within was a lot better then the other two)

Warcraft RTS series (not wow-crap)

That series is not a trilogy.

Wizardry 6,7,8

Create your party and venture forth.  Each game had multiple endings which could drastically change the beginning of the following game (including factions you were aligned with) as well as special weapons and armour that could only be found in each individual title.  One item actually acted as a key to a weapons cache in one of the future games if you imported a character with it.

I figure Halo should count as a trilogy as far as the Master Chief games go. That's another good trilogy.
