While I was never quite so infuriated with the original endings as much as many, many, many Mass Effect and Bioware fans were, I played through the Extended Cut DLC a few hours ago and picked the Refusal option with a high score.

I did not get the simple, happy ending that so many wanted, but I did get closure. Real, legitamite closure from a company that I had faith in when so many didn't, and Bioware, I just want to thank you for that.

I'm on a website that was beyond infuriated at the endings where I found myself in constant arguments over why the endings weren't so bad. (It was me vs everyone....I always lost and just gave up...it was never pretty, to say the least.) Even with the Extended Cut DLC, the website's population's views haven't changed a bit. (Most of them still consider it a giant middle finger or a slap to the face.), so I came to the Bioware forums, expecting the same from the community. I expected to see more hatred, more anti-Bioware messages, and more "You're wrong if you like even 1% of the EC endings!", but I am glad it is different here. I'm glad I had to name this topic "Another Congratulatory Topic" instead of some variation of "I'm preparing my flame shield now."

What I'm trying to say is, thank you Bioware, for the best damn game series I've ever played with some characters who I take inspiration from on a daily basis, and thank you Bioware community, for giving our beloved company a second chance and letting them prove to us that they really do love us!
