I couldn't bear to see my shepard being disintegrated like that (face turning into charcoal) but the (Eternal, Infinite, Immortal) speech and the way he was walking with the godlike voice with the white background......THAT WAS COOL
as hell. But then the screen panned out and he was just in a reaper and that creeped me out. I couldn't choose control because my shepard would want to make the Illusive man's dream come true. Im Commander Shepard not Lord Reaphard.
2. Synthesis
This seems to be the happiest out out of them but something's wrong. The entire universe's Free will has been cast aside and even shepard points this out to the reaper kid. This choice is not for 1 man to make. The green eyes and the greenish flashes on everyone's skin freaks me out. Yes edi lives in this and so does the geth but at the cost of diversity. And the husks walking around and with the giant reapers that were killing people just a few minutes, Oh no...Hell no synthesis is still the worst and probably the worst ending of the 3 (4 if you count rejection).
3. Destroy (good ems)
This was my choice and heres why. You complete your mission period. Your mission was not to follow the Illusive Man's footsteps or Give in to Saren's synthesis's garbage IT WAS To DESTROY Them or They Destroy us. Its in our nature to fight back just like it is in the Reaper's nature to DESTROY us. Even during the ending Hackett said Everything that was Destroyed can be REBUILT. That means the Relays, the Citidal, and possibly even the Geth (the quarians built them before why not now), maybe Edi can be rebuilt (she was just an AI) if they can rebuild the Relays(old protheian Technology) why is it not possibly to rebuild Edi. Oh Yeah I Almost Forgot YOU ARE ALIVE. YOU are NOT SPACE POLLEN, You are not an abomination (GIANT REAPER), your alive and you probably will be able to see your friends again, along with being able to see your good work with your own eyes. The only problem I had with this ending is that there is not aftermath after the breath scene like a reunion or something.
4. Rejection
To be honest this was the first ending I chose. I told the reaper kid he was wrong and then Shepard went on about Freedom and I was like GREAT now boss fight cool bring it on but he went SO BE IT.....
So thats my take on the Extended Cut endings, all the other stuff was great like the LI scene before the Beam and the Joker fleeing scene. The Ext Cut made the game's conclusion a lot more bearable and I will one day possibly play through the Trilogy . I would give the the Ext Cut a 9/10 ,
I Recommend you guys look up Mass Effect 1's ending song and just listen and reflect. It add more to the experience
I guess thats it for me I probably will be checking in and out of this site every once in a while. Im kinda sad that it's over but I guess that's life but Im optimistic about the future adventures in the mass effect universe (hope I wont have to wait long)
Thanks bioware for this amazing series
