I didn't see a topic on this, so I decided I'd make one.

The problem's simple. I withheld my Insanity run until the extended cut came around. Then, when it was announced, I hopped on and finished my Insanity run (I started with the setting changed to Insanity before the campaign even started; never touched the setting once) all the way through the ending. Got to the credits, annnd...

Nada. No achievment. Since it's my last one, can't say I'm too thrilled.

Is this a known issue with the EC DLC messing things up, or is my experience a solitary one?

which one of the insanity achievements? The Unwavering or the actual Insanity? If it's the Unwavering, then you may have missed a side mission or it didn't register one of them.

No, got Unwavering through multiplayer. It's the actual Insanity achievement.

My only guess now is that it involves my choice of the new Reject ending. It's possible that that's why it didn't register that I'd "beaten" the game yet.

I'll make a quick run-through again and choose one of the previously established endings, see if that fixes it.

Update: Yup, that did it. You apparently just have to pick something besides the new Reject ending, and it works fine.

Wow, that's weird. I mean, Refusal is apparently a legitimate choice, why wouldn't it trigger? Oh well, glad you got it sorted.

LOL, i just got this same glitch, and it blocks Unwavering as well. I'm showin 26/27 missions complete. Running thru a new ending right now, but Marauder Shields is whippin my sorry ****

EDIT:   OH MY GOD!!!  Whatever you choose, do not shoot that kid in the face!!!!  Now I have to run thru the ending again....

I'm 52 for 52 but when I view accomplishments from the Extras menu the final three achievements are blacked out, one of them is 25 Melees, Prothean Expert and then Eden Prime...but according to my profile I done did them!!

I recommend creating a backup of the final AutoSave for that reason.

The first time I chose "reject" on purpose, by disregarding all of his options.  The second time I was so ticked from having to play the Marauder Shields sequence so many times (13 times he killed me, 3 times I got black-screened after I teleported), that I thought, "I'm gonna unload on this kid for a while, just like the old days". 

btw, how would kinect have helped?  I can't use powers or anything, right?

I successfully avoided spoilers, and was about to run the rainbow when a shot him for giggles. Surprise!

Yes, the kinect allows full power usage when you wake up at the beam.

Yep, that's broken on mine too. I have the achievements on the dash, but they are not registered within the game itself.
