So, after EC which ending do you prefer now?

I don't trust myself in Control. That could eventually lead to Shepard becoming corrupt and abusing his power. Plus it's so damn sad that Shepard is isolated, alone for eternity in that ending. He has all his memories, but can't interact with his friends or lover again. Plus, like I said, there is no way Shepard can know he is going to maintain control forever. The entire game, even just minutes before, he is so adamant against the Illusive Man's idea of control, and MY Shepard wouldn't' change his mind just because of what the Reaper's master says.
Then in Synthesis, it just seems discombobulated. The Catalyst says Shepard is ready for the change, but he is actively forcing it on the entire galaxy. What's different about the Reapers having tried synthesis and failing because it was forced and Shepard forcing everyone and somehow succeeding? It was never once suggested before that this was any evolutionary tract, and that anyone else wanted it to happen, except for Saren. Sure it might give a bit of a feel good, but it's so morally ambiguous. I couldn't force something like that on the entire galaxy.

Even the star child says that many things that you know will take damage but that people will be able to rebuild them fast.Mr. Gogeta34 wrote...
Hackett is very clear that all technology/machines that were destroyed can be rebuilt/recovered. That includes the Geth and EDI. Just a minor setback. Destroy is easily the best ending.
You lose nothing (for long) and Shepard survives (far as I know).

I doubt they would have put EDI's name up on the memorial wall if they thought they had a chance of rebuilding her. Moreover, the lore states that AI's cannot be rebuilt and still come out the same "person." It's not like fixing a broken car; the sentience is in the software.

I didn't think about that. I'm not feeling as bad about Destroy now.

ME events take time during a relatively short period. My alliances with the Geth and EDI were brief to be honest. AI can be re-created, even if the independent Geth are never happening again.
Synthesis is is the worst choice for me.

I believe EDI and the Geth are still alive. synthesis was an ok ending but destroy EC was definately far better especially with EMS 100pct at 9780.
Every new cut scene with high EMS was worth it. IMO its the ending that should have been there in the original release.

Synthesis was his option.
My roommate was renegade all the way and a survivor all the way through. anything but destroy for her would have been wrong. I love the endings because they gave us both although we both are a little down that destroy didn't really show Shepard alive and doing something, and feel that was a bit of a let down. Watched control as well, and each was really great!

I really loved the concept of Reject...but in the end, it didn't quite do it for me. Giving the finger to Starchild was great, as was the whole idea of rejecting the stupid thing. But I wasn't willing to sacrifice the whole galaxy and who-knows-how-many lives of the next cycle simply in the name of pride. Not when the kill button was sitting right in front of me.
Reject is still my second favorite, though.

For my EC playthrough I chose synthesis. I did another ME1 and ME2 playthrough and got really attached to EDI and the Geth. Control didn't feel right for my shepard, so I ended up choosing synthesis. It was my least favorite, but I enjoyed EDI's narration the best, and it's good to know that people retain their individuality. It was a nice touch to see EDI give Kaidan a hug at the memorial wall.

Destroy ending.
I don't buy into that crap of "The Geth and EDI will die too". It's all the word of an enemy, the controller of the Reapers trying to worm it's way out of it's own defeat and hard sell the Reaper preferred choices of the illusion of control and Saren's answer of Synthesis. No conclusive evidence was ever given of the termination of EDI or the Geth; no bodies, no statements from survivors, nothing save for the treacherous words of the enemy.
My course it's set, no blasted AI, especially the creator of the great enemy, will sway me from my goal. I stand firm against the enemies of Man, and all other worthy life. The Reapers are beyond redemption and as such must be destroyed.
EDI was on the memorial wall on the normandy when i picked destroy

Most of the people are saying destroy because it's the only ending Shepard lives in. Take that scene out and I doubt most would pick it. I liked control in this one.
Man, I don't care if Control ended with ReaperShep popping out a fully organic Shepard or if Synthesis had everyone evolve into fluffy cyber-bunnies. I just wanted the freaking Reapers DEAD.

In my play-through EDI had already said she'd sacrifice herself if necessary, and the Geth probably would too, but the price is high, no doubt about it.
Still, I prefer it to becoming TIM 2.0. And Synthesis is even harder to take seriously now, IMO.

To many things to lose in destroy and no vanguard in case of a synthetic crisis.

Same here dude! I burst out laughing when the Starchild gave me his demonic "SO BE IT! THE CYCLE CONTINUES!!"

lol I have to actually applaud Bioware for that, very clever of them considering they know a LOT of people do shoot the starchild.
