I think its now 3100 for the best ending.

I like the new choice best (and the second way of getting it), but the endings still werent great, just decent. 6/10 from me

Neutral to EC. But hate people which saying "wow great excellent 10\\10, befo it was 1\\10" etc.., after EC announcement we lost our privilege to score ending because BW did what we said to them by whining like: "whyyyy it's so ****yy, BW I HATE YOU..." etc, be honest - it became usual ending, like most games and movies have

I like the fact that Bioware didn't decide to go cliché and give in too much to the fans (e.g. creating new endings). They expanded my understanding of what happened and answered all of my questions that I originally had pretty damn well.

I'm grateful that they actually took the time to see how the fans liked the original ending, and that shows that they care about their audience. I for one liked the direction they were going with the original endings, but to myself and many other fans here, it seemed incomplete. The extended cut was a good idea, but then again, I gladly would've waited a few more months for ME3's release to see this initially implemented in the game; not that I lack appreciation for the addition of this content.

On the whole, 10/10. I played through all the endings to see the difference of each, and each one hit home. My faith has been restored to this epic game company, and I just want to give a shout-out to everyone who made and contributed to the mass effect series. Thank you for putting so much effort into making this one of the most memorable games in my life so far.

I'm proud to call myself a Bioware fan. Can't wait for Dragon Age 3!

The original endings 1/10. They felt unfinished and rushed to me. The ec felt like a finished product by no means perfect but enjoyable. 7,5/10. Sure not all plotholes are gone but in the ec they just don't matter as much. The original endings felt wrong, these new ones feel right and that makes a world of difference. Are they perfect, no. But i expected very little from the ec and was suprised at the giant leap forward. Might even be persuaded to preorder there games again.

I'm also satisfied with the EC. It was better than I expected and provided closure.

This ending fills in a lot of plot holes and makes the endings different. If the only reason you played mass effect was to have a blue baby at the end of it you might be disappointed but it was a satisfying end. All those on the bench to play through the ending I say go do it. Evaluate it for yourselves and don't let other peoples change your opinions on the EC just because they didn't like it.

8/10, the EC really did improve the endings, and now i can look forward tro more DLC, and possibly continuations of the story, in a new world that you created at the end of Mass Effect 3.

First it was 1/10. Now with EC its 1.5/10. And plus a SINGLE scene it would be 10/10. But now, as this didn't happen, its 1.5/10.

+1

Which means overhaul : 1.25 .... EC might have been also increased by some P..........l Integ & truthfulness.

Hello from Europe
----------------------------

I liked the ending with destroying the reapers
, other ending control and synthesis do not make any sense for me.

Warning Spoiler!!!! (IF you wish to see just mark the black lines!)

Synthesis ending , everybody got borg so they are not really free (the make own decision base on overall mind of reapers).
Control ending, the new reaper Sheppard can be more dangerous than older reaper with catalyst,
what is defend all many in his view, you can defend one civilization but destroying other in  the process, so that logic is not convenient.

Reject ending , well that something better , but still how other civilizations won over reapers , did they build crucible again and used for synthesis?(this is not so important for ending anyway)

END OF SPOILER!

What really annoying me that new dialog with catalyst not better than old one,  the Shepards reaction on the catalyst choices is not "renegade" enough, i would preferred that Shepard just scream on catalyst like ( " i have enough of you senseless indoctrination stuff, just give me the console so that i can reprogram your AI" )

What was nice but in the same time strange to see, where the scene where one of your teammates injured and normandy arrives without any problems (reaper and cannon on Earth are not easily to bypass). Harbinger was like, okay i just wait when normandy takes off and fire my laser further. In any common sense logic the Harbinger  should fire laser on normady.

Overall  i make following conclusion:

Did the new DLC is a better ending ?  Definitely YES.
Is it really what we as community expected to be? Nope, not really .
IF in any way new Mass  Effect will be done, than it would be base on one of the endings not on all of them!
And after that case, who can really say that ME franchise not dead.

Trollish Cliffhanger ending with "5000+ EMS destroy", basically the same as the unedited version, but I actually thought and hoped they'd add on to that "easter egg", those of you who did the 5000+ Destroy know what the easter egg specific to it is.

But I was otherwise satisfied

Good dialogue options with Catalyst (grrr..), but I still do not accept Starbrat as a Catalyst, Shepard makes way more sense-he is "catalyzing" the ending, isn't he ?.
Control and Synthesis ending voice-overs (however short) give good closure on Shepards fate, Destroy definately does not, imo. Loved Tricia Helfer as a commentator-EDI definately is the most likeable  squaddie in ME3 (as in: they put more time and money on her than on others, but I digres)
Very well done differentiation between endings; it is easy to see  why
Synthesis could be seen as a "best" ending by BIO (stress on could as all are viable and make more sense)
Neither option give closure on squadmates though, nor explains major plot holes ; together with slideshows for a ending of a trilogy on this scale  ? Unacceptable for me.

I definately expected more, I would say : Bioware ,You are halfway there. Another month or two would of work be fully acceptable, but  again You went half-cocked and did barely minimum.

 So 5/10

Most of what I would love to see is unreasonable given the circumstances, so I won't seek to compare them to what was delivered. Some plot holes (minor) are handwaved, some (major) are retconned, and some (critical) are ignored. Thanks to one retcon, many of my initial objections are dealt with. But by releasing it, mass effect 3 does not suddenly become a cohesive, consistent, well written end to the series. It does not fix the pre-release promises and does not deal with some of the most gaping problems created by the ending with the series as a whole. Given the scale of the problem, I fear nothing short of a rewrite would do the trick, and can at the very least understand why the decision was made to reject that possibility.

If nothing else, however, it *felt* better. The original ending left a big, ugly void which we were given nothing to fill. With that, the EC did indeed succeed, within the rather unfortunate limitations that it had placed upon it.

I will leave any further comments/issues for a more appropriate thread.

7.5/10. Not great, but not bad either.

If it were up to me, they would've had more than enough time to originally include it in the game, plus more. It's clear they simply didn't have enough time.

There could be more but it is a huge improvement over the previous ending which I would have given a 2/10 before.
