final battle

so i killed wynne back at the circle tower and i decided not to do the dark ritual with morrigan so she is gone so i have no mages for the final battle... has anybody done this? is it possible to still beat it?

two words: it is. be sure to have some potions ready

I have not honestly. However I would suggest putting the 75% spirit resistance helm on your tank that you get toward the end. Having A LOT of potions will do you good as well as calling in the dalish for that fight if you have them.

My entire party except my PC was wiped out about 1/3 of the way through the battle, but by calling in the elves, and after they were all dead what was left of the Dwarves, and practically bathing myself in poultices, I was able to win the battle with my sword and shield warrior.

what? you can call more allies, when the first group wipes? (I wish I had known earlier...)

My mage character died about halfway through the battle, Loghain and Ohgren fell soon after, finished the fight with my trusty Wardog, used the dwarves for reinforcements since they are good at clearing out darkspawn and have some natural resistance to magic. As long as you have health potions, maybe a good ranged weapon character and remember that ballista's are your friends I think you should be able to finish the battle without a mage.

You'll be fine as long as you have some potions. At this point, the game just throws heaps of potions at you anyway.
