Are you going to take down all your BioWare-game gameplay videos?

they fixed him being presented as an infallible entity. They stated he was just an AI and created the Reapers to solve a problem, and the Reapers destroyed their creators. Thus, showing that he was indeed not an infallible source of logic.
This really made his presentation to me a lot more palatable. It was much more believable that he was simply an AI with a stated purpose and was willing to seek another solution to achieve that purpose now that our cycle presented a threat.
It still wasn't entirely satisfying picking the lesser of three evils for a choice, but the presentation of those choices was leagues better than before.
In the end, I feel less frustrated, and generally just able to accept the ending as something not fun to experience, but something I'm willing to just accept as canon and endure.

Refusal seemed like yet another good setting point for a better ending that could have been made. You fight the Catalyst (especially given the questioning when it describes it's creators and how it forced it's creators to become the first Reaper IE - itself) while it's a race against time as the Citadel powers up. That or Harbinger could have arrived and melded with the Citadel successfully while you try to prevent it from powering up a giant weapon of some kind.
Over all, I just feel disappointed. Not in Extended Cut, I knew we weren't getting additional gameplay when they announced it. But this game lacks a proper conclusion compared to the games before it, as cliche as their endings were, this game feels like an entity of it's own. Which is very frustrating to put up with. Even EC has the major flaw that bugged me about this game since I first beat it.

Don't forget the Catalyst also says it's creators were the first to become a Reaper and it explained that they too were not happy with this decision.

It was about what I was expecting--nothing too drastic. Something that should've been there in the first place though.

Apathy during starchild part, sadness like usual once An End Once and For All started, anger when I saw my LI hanging a plaque on the wall and realized there was no reunion.
Did you really not know before the EC that Synthesis and Control result in Shepard's death? The only ending where the LI doesn't put the plaque on the wall and instead give a hopeful smile is in the Destroy ending.

I will be able to play the game again in the future (although the extended cut didn't really help in wanting me to replay it anytime soon, sadly), and I will absolutely be looking out for single-player DLC that has the full squad returning with new content.
