to show bioware our appreciation of the EC can we fix the metacritic user score?....please?

Hence, if I think that EC makes things better, I will give it a better score.
But this does not change original game, hence no reason to change score for it.
Next time please, make game good right from the start without rushing it out of the door, if you want better scores on it.

The fact that there are trolls who haven't even played ME, ME2, or ME3 and are rating it zeros says something.

- The core gameplay and story involved/ revolved around choices
-Said choices become assets in a massive galactic armada
- Massive armada aka choices are turned into a number and become a mediocre cameo
These FACTS are why ME3 is a failure, the core concept of the trilogy is ignored. Laziness and supposed artistic integrity stripped away what should have been an epic finale a la butterfly effect. Instead of seeing how all your choices affected the final fight ..h@ll even having a final fight we got starkid.
There were no (insert asset here) in the crappy fights on earth. No backup fot Shep and no big showdown...just a space elevator and nonsense. So keep on supporting mediocrity and doing PR for Bioware. They will need all the support they can garner if they plan on delivering more flops to store shelves.

Mass Effect 3 deserves a lot better than the scores it got. Yeah the ending sucked we know, let's not harp on it and just move on now that the extended cut is out ok?
If EC had fixed the problems, maybe. Still deserves the 3 I gave it. Or was it a 4, I forget.

Furthermore the longer that rating stays dismal the greater the chance they'll actually work on something akin to a REAL fix, rather than inflating 1.3 gigs of cinematic clips to occupy space and say that they made a 2 gig DLC when, if done properly, this would be at most 1.1 maybe even as low as 0.9 gigs if they really packed it.
Since they didn't, and anyone sufficiently well versed in computers can see that they didn't and only did the bare minimum and tried to make it look like the maximum that metacritic score is deserved and should stay that way, as far as I'm concerned.

We're here because we actually want the game to be GOOD. We don't want to just walk away.
Our demands were unreasonable? If we'd been told that the game would end with an ABC ending that was mostly cookie cutter and made less sense than Lost and we still would have bought it, then yes, demanding a change would be unreasonable. But since they stated what was virtually the oposite of what we got numerous times. No. Its not unreasonable to demand what we paid for.
Most companies wouldn't have laughed right at our faces. Why? Because we're the ones who pay them.
And they did not take the time to do things right. They took the time to do the bare minimum to blow things over. Try looking through those EC files. Give a look see just how much "time" they actually devoted to it. The slideshows at the end were inflated to almost 3 times the size of what they could have been. I can compress them on my own computer in just a few hours. They had 3 months. And are trying to pass it off as alot of work when in reality, I wouldn't be surprised if they finished this in one month, at most.
The Thanks they're getting is the thanks they deserve. The moment the fix the ending, trully fix it, not just slap some face paint on there and hope it covers it up like Garrus' scars, I'll gladly change the score. I'll even be front runner to buy DLC.
You call us ungrateful. I call it equivalent exchange.
They give me what they advertised, I give them good words and recomendations to people I know to buy their game and DLC.
Since I certainly can't give away my only barganing chip, my money and my voice, before they deliver what I want then this exchange remains at a standstill and will be going nowhere.
But if you feel so grateful by all means change your vote and give them your money. I certainly won't stop you.

EC just made a few things make sense. It turned a godawful craptastic end into a bad one. They made this bed, they can lie in it.

Agreed on this - the game until the ending was a good 7-8 for me; once the end hits, be it the EC or original endings, it just gets a solid 3-4 from me. ME1 felt more immersive, ME2's combat was better. ME3 felt short, rushed, lacked dialog with squad/ship mates at a frequency I wanted (after every main mission) and in the end just felt like it wasn't enough. There is no closure, no feeling of "wow, that was a great ride" but rather "Wow, that ride started out really awesome, then kinda slowed down some because I had to scan Uranus for minerals, and finally just petered out." I honestly want to get to the beam, then imagine the rest of the game myself.

Not to speak for Kiwi, but I'd say theirs in general.
They, as in Bioware overall has been acting as though this is purely OUR fault, that this is OUR misunderstanding, not theirs, and they're giving us the EC DLC almost out of the goodness of their hearts, when everyone knows its because ME hasn't been moving from retailers at all and with 1.5 million sales isn't nearly enough to cover the cost of developing the game, let alone the massive amount of funding EA put into their advertisements as usual.
They say that the EC was marketed for people who wanted more closure. And that no matter what they do it won't satisfy everyone.
They've essentially raised their arms and said "Well, I did all I could." When infact they've barely even made anything that I can really see was a BIG effort on their part.
Keeping silent throughout this whole thing and giving us a rejection option that's more or less a slap in the face.
Compounding this is the simple fact that they seem to want to hammer it into people's skulls that there were "A lot" of people who didn't want the endings changed, when almost every poll you look at has a distinct 85 to 90 percent majority detesting the endings.
The only reason they would want to sell that load of crap, claiming that so many people didn't want the endings changed at all, is because they didn't want to make any genuinely new content. They wanted to finish up what they had left over from original game development, inflate it to 2 Gigs and say hey look at all the work we did. 2 whole gigs for free. Nevermind that anyone can datamine through this and see it's really about 1.2 on a good day but hey, you all should trust us now again so lets move on and get you to buying some more DLC eh?

Wikipedia claims 3.5 mil for all platforms, to ME2's 4million in its first week. Do we have any figures on total sales to date, and numbers to compare to (while realizing that the PS3 version shipped a year later)? Do we know for sure ME3's sales are substantially worse than ME2's? Aside from realizing that ME2 selling 4 million copies for PC and XBox vs ME3 selling 3.5 million for PC/XBox/PS3 means that they sold LESS copies despite having a BROADER AUDIENCE.

Who cares about a user score that is clearly skewed? (Either 0,1 or 9,10)
MC is Troll Haven for any piece of entertainment, a bloody joke.
I'd rather show my appreciation here where Bioware can see it.
Do I believe ME3 deserves a 5? Heck, no. It's better than most games out there & deserves at least an 8 in my opinion. But hey, trash like Gothic IV and Risen II have higher metascores. Those games simply weren't popular enough to be trolled.

ME2 did not sell 4 million in its first week.
It also has been out 2 years, whereas ME3 was released 4 months ago.

Lol ID bet me to it.
Yes, it's theirs in general. The reaction from Bioware and their PR department during this debarcle has just been disgusting. They refused to accept the fact they gave us a stupid end that makes no goddamn sense then acted like it was the gamers fault for being too stupid to understand it. Then slapping us with a "Hey buy DLC!" in the aftermath.
Then they clamed up for a while, before the whole EC thing showed up and of course we should all be grateful for free content because my gawd. Never mind the fact that Bioware should have actually put effort into the tie-up end of their trilogy, after they promised so much but delivered so little.
Of course during the silence we got the occasional "we're listening" pokes from them, but then they would slink off or twist it around.
Yeah, not a good job, Bioware. <_<

Response? Relase the DLC to make "competition" with dawnguard.
At this point let the hate come I say. Its the only message that hasn't been tried yet.

Bioware did not succeed. The EC was better than what we got, but it wasn't any good. If you had Leprosy, and I took that away but gave you cancer, would you say that was a good compromise? Sure, less bits fall off you, but you're still gravely ill. Same thing here.
