Metacritic?

Who cares about a user score that is clearly skewed? (Either 0,1 or 9,10)

MC is Troll Haven for any piece of entertainment, a bloody joke.

I'd rather show my appreciation here where Bioware can see it.

Do I believe ME3 deserves a 5? Heck, no. It's better than most games out there & deserves at least an 8 in my opinion. But hey, trash like Gothic IV and Risen II have higher metascores. Those games simply weren't popular enough to be trolled.

I'll take ME3 with the original endings rather than play Gothic IV, Risen II, and GoT ANY day.

Same. Except for GOT. Love that game A LOT.

Wikipedia claims 3.5 mil for all platforms, to ME2's 4million in its first week. Do we have any figures on total sales to date, and numbers to compare to (while realizing that the PS3 version shipped a year later)? Do we know for sure ME3's sales are substantially worse than ME2's? Aside from realizing that ME2 selling 4 million copies for PC and XBox vs ME3 selling 3.5 million for PC/XBox/PS3 means that they sold LESS copies despite having a BROADER AUDIENCE.

They SHIPPED 3.5 million. They SOLD 1.5

I do not have the link, all of this I'm gathering from memory about a month ago when this whole thing was still a ****storm.

ME3 sold well in the first week, but after the first week when word started to get out ME3 saw an 80 percent drop in sales, a drop almost unprecedented for ANY game ever.

The threats and non constructive criticism users post certainly doesn't help BioWare so why even post these comments (that is what the other person I believe was referring to).

We've tried being civil, we've tried being patient, we've tried gathering surveys and numerical data.

Response? Relase the DLC to make "competition" with dawnguard.

At this point let the hate come I say. Its the only message that hasn't been tried yet.

Maybe this time they'll actually see that people are pissed and not just mildly irritated

Eh what?

I don't think the XBox release of Dawnguard had anything to do with it.

Hasn't been tried yet? Are you KIDDING?

We tried being nice, poliet, patient. We tried being civil and courteous with our questions. Then we still got treated like a bunch of ungrateful children. Bioware got the backlash they started.

Ah, ok - they're pulling the same crap Sony did with the Move statistics. Thanks for the info.

Do we know about digital sales? Do you know off the top of your head if the 1.5mil number includes sales off Origin?

Um, NONSENSE. EA and other sites confirmed 3.5 million SOLD, not SOLD IN a few weeks ago.

Uprecedented for any game ever? LOL. Untrue as well. Games that sell REALLY well usually see a 65-80% drop fairly quickly. -_-

You don't find it at all odd? Not the least bit strange that Dawnguard is announced and then boom, dropping onto our laps is the EC? When not even a peep was heard from them for months before hand? Suddenly just "Boom done, coming out next tuesday."

And of course there are always trolls and people that are just innapropriate but for the most part A lot of people, myself included tried being as patient as possible. Even donating cupcakes and artwork and such to show "appreciation" of the team. I personally disagreed with such, since I thought it would give them the wrong impression that we would always remain their fans when what they needed was their feet held over a fire.

But now, now you wont see me or any of the so called "retakers" or "HTL" people holding much, if anything back.

Were you around for the cupcaek drive? That was one of the bigger events around here and sure, it had a jesting undertone, but we were nice about it and poliet to Bioware. Missed that one?

My score of 2/10 stands. The reasons:

+ Fun combat
+ Good length (30 hours)

- No exploration
- Bad character development
- Too many plot holes
- Music sucked
- Too much emotion
- Auto dialog
- Only one hub world
- Ending sucked
- Extended cut sucked
- Ruined the first two games for me

I can go on forever.

No, I don't find that odd. If anything, it was the worst release date they could have picked.

As for that last bit....I hope you are speaking for yourself there. Because that kind of behavior got you your bad rep to begin with.

ME2 had a 57 percent drop

ME1 had 65

ME3 is the only one to have a flat out 80 percent drop in sales, with that number dropping AGAIN another 48 percent, in the following week making a total of around 90 percent drop.

Furthermore trust me, they didn't sell 3.5 million
They SHIPPED them. If they count that as selling it to retailers then yeah, sure it sold. But they SHIPPED 3.5 unless you're telling me they sold every single copy that sales number is incorrect

It was an interesting gesture to be sure. Though its meaning was anything but nice and polite. It was pouring salt on a smarting wound in a clever way.

Neither of those two games were the last in a series. They usually have the biggest initial sales and drops.

No. They shipped 3.5 mill by the end of March. They sold 3.5+ million by the end of June. According to EA and other sites as well. I.E. VGChartz. And that's nor even including digital sales.

Probably one of the people EA wants to bring in with their "Broader appeal"

Honestly if the Broader appeal people forked over the previous two games what makes them think the third installment is gonna drag them in. They're doing the same thing with deadspace now from what I hear

Correct, this info appears to be.

"
During March 2012, Mass Effect 3[/i] sold 1.5 million copies for consoles, with 3.5 million shipped for all platforms.[147]According to EA's Q4 results, Mass Effect 3[/i] has grossed over $200 million.[148] "

Being in the tech industry, having shipper  hardware and software products, shipped means you packaged and sent X copies to retailers. You sell a subset of that number - meaning you sell from the pool of shipped products.

The fly in the ointment here may just be digital sales though. Since you don't really "ship" those, right?  If Origin sales are included in the 1.5 mil figure, then there are even more unsold discs out there.

Well, at least we didn't say to Bioware that they just didn't have the mental capacifty to understand the cupcaeks- oh no wait, that was Bioware about ME3 end to us players when we complained...

They started this fire kicking, so they should deal with it. I can't tolerate anymore of their condescending bull****.
