Rating ME3 below a 7, bad ending or not, is downright stupid. With that said, Metacritic user scores are useless. As much as I dislike some review sites, professional reviewers are way more reliable than the players.

No. It isn't. With the ending the way it is, ME3 is a 6 at best. The main appeal to the Mass Effect series was the story and the lore. Ending ruined all that.

Stop. Just stop already. Broken record is broken.

I echo that sentiment in full. If people think Me3 deserve a 1/10 or such score go play big rigs, that's a game truly deserving of the lowest score ever handed to a videogame. Mass Effect 3 isn't a horrible game by a long shot.

If you think ME3 is a bad game, you've never played an actual bad game. Stop talking about stuff you know nothing about.

Rating it 10/10 or 9/10 has the same effect.

4/10 or 5/10 is a fairly fair score for Mass effect 3.

10/10 might be over the top. While I can't speak for others' subjetive opinion I can't see how Mass Effect is as bad as the Game of Thrones rpg. Nearly everything in Me3 is of high quality and compared to what other RPGs can produce so in short I can't see how Me3 objectively can score as low as it does.

The only one I'll really agree with is Lionhead studios.

Bethesda? It practically panders to its fanbase's everywant, constantly integrating popular mods into real gameplay on demand.

And because of Lionhead's failure at listening to its fans Fable 3 is all but dead in the water at this point. I think when last I looked its DLC sales barely scratched 200k downloads on Fable 3.

Sure. If I actually left such a review, with the EC the game is between 6 and 7.

The lies about multiplayer and the overall terrible customer relations would probably make it a solid 6 for me.

I don’t really care whether you think I should evaluate it as a standalone game or whatever, because it’s not. It’s Mass Effect 3.

The game's been out for 4 months now, who cares about the metacritic score? The damage has already been done.

Glad I'm not the only one who remembers that crap. Bioware only did EC because they are a studio that in past was well regarded. their last two non-MMO games at release got a lot of negative press, and AFAIK, TOR isn't doing well either.

Well done. What you said is one of the dumbest things said on this site. One hell of an accomplishment.

They can keep what they have because the fact of the matter is that they screwed up. They released a game with a terrible ending and were forced to fix it. You don't reward a kid for fixing something he broke while being an idiot.

It fixed it, barely, but it shouldn't have needed fixing. If they want to make up for this and redeem themselves they'll have to do it with another game.

The score deserves to be lower, Mass Effect 3 is the first game to ever make it's prior 2 games unplayable for many. The space magic kid will NEVER be forgiven!

Kinda my view too - prove you're worth my patronage with DA3 or something. Releasing DLC that says "the ending was just a dream" would also close the door completely, causing me to completely ignore Bioware for the rest of time.

In all honesty while I think that is a little low, it isn't by much.

A few great moments in the game don't compensate, what was for me, a generally lack-lustre game.

I never look up for user's score on metacritic. Scores are too low or too high because of frustrated pimple-teenagers who either give 1/10 or 10/10 , it doesn't make any sense for me.

They have only one braincell, so they function in binary mode : either 1/10 or 10/10.

That's actually the most logical way to aproach metacritic's system from a given individual's perspective.

The chances of anyone reading your particular review when there are hundreds or thousand of others posted is very small; therefore, the specific number attached to your review only has meaning insofar as it affects the average score. The best way to "make your voice heard," in that regard, is to rate the game a 10 if you think it should be rated higher than the current average or a 0 if you think it should be rated below the current average.

Amazon reviews do better: sort by rating. Look at the user's review percentages. :)

Well coming from you, that doesn't mean much. All you really do is pop into discussions out of nowhere just to tell people that they're stupid and/or wrong. Maybe you should try and tell me people WHY they're wrong for once.

NO!!!!!

NO!!!

NOOOO!!!!!

They lie, do not finish their games and ask us to give more money for their mistakes! There is a reason why they are the worst American company!
Do not buy from them! And tell your friends why. This a company that is a cancer that the gaming industry needs to be rid of!

NOPE.

At least, not until the mysterious week-long ban on The Angry One, the ban that no one in charge can seem to account for, is lifted.

Even then... mmm, NOPE.

I am guessing if TAO got banned for something it was deserved.
