Does it need fixing?

The game is still buggy as anything, full of autodialogue that eliminates all but the most superficial attempts at role playing and isn't a good enough tps to get a decent score that way. Not to mention the plot still has more hole than plot and the complete irrelevance of the last two games.

I'd rate the game higher with the current ending, but that's not what I got when I paid money for the product. I'm not going to change the rating and I hope very few do. It's a good remained of how badly they screwed up.

I'd love to fix the score but they dont allow -10s, adding more manure to the sack doesnt make it better! (Unless you want to grow mushrooms )

In truth the game was medioce (at best), very much dumbed down on the pervious games, with little moe than a rail-roaded story, where the only options seem to be x char lives or dies, rinse, repeat!

For what? False advertising, taking their fans for fools and coming halfway out of the closet after the backlash could not be talked down by IGN and the likes? No Sir, they played their PR-cards and lost. The EC is the capitulation to the damage taken. Sorry, no awards from my side.

The choices don't matter in the ending? True.

in ME1 you had barely any choice. Like two major choices - save/kill council save Kaidan/Ashley , and really nothing more.

But you're implying that choosing the fate of entire species (Krogans, Geth, Quarians) is not a choice and there's no room for role-play 

you have to be extremely dumb. Thy is why i reduced RPG elements to gameplay. Because if you really say that there are no major choices in ME3 - you're silly.

GO PLAY RISEN 2 OR GOTHIC 4. They have better metascore than ME3 , so GO.

Even though I found the EC to be great, the retail game contains the original endings, which suck. So no. Let this be a live and learn lesson.

Upgraded my score by a couple of points, since it is improved now. I hadn't review bombed it in the first place, since I think extreme scores at either end are pretty silly in the first place. I'd given it a 6, now it's an 8.

Why? Isn't 93/100 good. That actually seems high if it's based on the previous ending(s).

No, the score given was for the game released, while the EC did improve on the 3 endings that came with the game i still feel the game was badly advertised as ultimately all the time and effort i put into ME1 and 2 mean't nothing to the outcome of ME3.
There really should have been an option in the game that took into account the effort of games 1 & 2 and if you put the same effort into game 3 then you could get the perfect ending that a lot of people wanted in their game. Hell as far as i'm concerned make people jump through hoops to earn the ending but at least make it an option..

It's sad that people review bombed this game. The ending was a bit lacking, but wasn't a game destroyer. The game itself was awesome up until the end, which wasn't great. Now it is. A 5.0? Really?

Yes our choices didn't matter.
But did you seriously just state that ME1 had barely any choice? Lolnope.
Aside from the excellent Tuchanka and Rannoch arcs there is liitle to no choice and auto dialogue kills role playing.
I don't understand what you mean by your fourth sentence. Clarify?
