I never reviewed the game in the first place but I'll go do it now.

Why?? The game sucked prior EC.. The game sucks after EC.. I dont see why I should go and make an account on Metacritic, and save it from low score

nah i think the score adequately reflects my feelings about this game, not just in relation to the endings.

You know what I am going to go and give the game a 10/10 though I would honestly probably give it a 9.3. Why? Because someone needs to counterbalance the idiots that review bombed it and gave it a low score.

Just sick of all the haters.  Some of the reasons that people had for giving bad scores were just so pathetic.  For example, the whole 1st day DLC thing.  If you are a huge ME fan you should have bought the Special Edition which INCLUDED the DLC.  If you aren't a huge ME fan then you don't need the extra DLC to play and complete the game....it's not rocket science.

I waited this long to comment because I wanted to see how things would ultimately turn out....and I couldn't be more pleased.

I am not "fixing" the score I've given (and it wasn't something spiteful like 1 anyway).
I gave my score to original game and it sticks, I believe it completely fair.

EC will have separate scoring on MC anyway.

Really?  Take a look at the Skyrim PS3 score...

It had a problem at the beginning which has since been addressed but it still suffers because people have NO patience.

If you're looking for honest opinions about something, Metacritic is the worst place you can go to. Especially when it comes to user scores. Everything's either 1 or a 10. The people who gave ME3 anything around a 3 don't know what they're talking about it and it all boils down to the ramblings of a child on his back in the middle of a grocery store kicking a screaming cause they didn't get their way. I was blown away by the original endings either but I didn't flip out and cry about it.

Agreed. I have Skyrim for PS3 and it runs flawlessly after the update. 
People just can't let go of grudges. If your drink gets spilled, you can still clean it up and get some more.

I think people should give it fair ratings. If they still hated the game, downrate it, but don't exaggerate a score just to "punish" or "reward" BioWare for things that are outside the game, like PR.

It is, of course, too much to ask, but it's also why most people ignore user scores anyway. If you want your voice heard, make it a constructive voice, not a hysterical one.

I'd say the difference is the PC crowd had more Retakers or simply had a more unaccepting mentality toward the endings. I certainly don't mean to say the X-Box crowd liked the endings more... but PC gamers on the whole... seem to be more anaylitical. 

I hope no one takes offense to that. I'm sure a majority of people who didn't like the endings were from consoles, as ownership ratios are very scewed.

I didn't love the new ending but I thought it was ok. A lot better than the original that's for sure. However I never scored ME3 on any site because I didn't trust myself to give an unbiased review so I will not boost up the ratings now. Those people who have voted ME3 to a 5/10 are entitled to their opinion and I'm not going to cancel them out with a perfect 10 that I definitely don't agree with.

before the EC i would have given the game a 6, with the EC I give it a 8
