The ending is only one of the problems I have with this game. The rest of the game is maybe a 6 or 7. The ending is maybe a 4 now, before it was a 1 I guess.

Edit: The EC sucks less, but still sucks, it can't not suck unless they retcon the deus ex machina. They had 3 months, fixed a few of the many plotholes, and did 15 minutes slideshow of their "genius" catalyst ending. It's a bandaid to a bullet wound, thanks for the bandaid, it's nice, but not nearly what it takes. And it should have been there with the ORIGINAL game.
They couldn't even admit their mistake (well they didn't even with DA2!), spat in the face of fans and grabbed the "entitlement" and "artistic integrity" cards.
Also since when does multiplayer count, lol. And posting here does not make me miserable.

I can handle different opinions, I don't go around saying people who loved the game are idiots, so I don't get why some people are so defensive and offended of a different opinion like this V

This is what I will never understand. If you don't like/hate Mass Effect 3 so much why post here? Why do you do this to yourselves? Do you enjoy being miserable? I mean even when Bioware caved to your mostly unreasonable demands you still can't even show gratitude? Most companies would have laughed right in your face for wanting a better ending. But Bioware actually took the time to stay true and please their fans.

The thanks that they get? "GO F*** YOURSELVES I HOPE YOU GET -10 ON META CRITIC, DIAF!!!!1111"

And before you say it, yes you bought the game. Congratulations. But you've also been getting multiplayer content for FREE and the EC for free by employing coercion and threats.

I enjoyed the new endings. The only gripe I had was lack of closure and those have been fixed. I have never been so absorbed into the story of a video game before so I appreciate Bioware's efforts in redeeming their image and the effort they put into this game.

They choose to bunker down behind their PR wall, so they will have to live with it. Until they come out like Francois Lapikas (Deus Ex: Human Revolutions) did and apologize, it needs to stand as is.

No, the professional review score is unreasonabley high. 100/100 for the top 3 reviews, 93/100 average? Bull****. 

The game was disappointing long before the ending started.  
Without EC - 5/10, with EC* - 6.5/10. Average between professional review and user? 7.2/10. Not enough difference to justify "fixing" it.

*Assumes EC fixes the ending for you personally - it does not for me.

I wouldn't give them it because "75+ perfect scores and 90 metacritic user score" would be the next thing the bioware marketing department would do.

Also the ending wasn't the only major flaw(journel, auto dialogue etc.).

Yeah the boss battles really stood out.

I registered and gave it an 8 with E.C. which is what it deserves. I can't believe all the 1's from fans or the 10's from critics. A game has to be polished and damn near perfect to get a 10/10. To get 1/10 it has to be like E.T. for Atari. People need to be real or not putt up a raiting at all.

Another thing why I am not gonna change my score well I have to look back.

ME1 - The one that I fell that is the greatest, I am not gonna tell why then I am gonne get on a rant.

But ME1 I played through 13 times I just looked. OMG.
ME2 I played through 7 times
ME3 I played through 1 time and just reloaded to see all endings.

The extended cut hasent made me want to play through it again, so no better score.

I will say I have played through the Tchanka part about 5-6 times and thats a great part, almost a game in it's own rights.

By looking through the facts, well I cant give et a better score. Though the ending is better it hasent changed the fact that I dont really care for playing again. That is in my opinion a really broken ending if it has that effect on me.
And am I going to buy the next mass effect game if they make more in the fanchice I dont honostly know, after this IMO hurendous lack of imagination and "writing skill" for an ending.
So my score stays.

Absolutely not. The EC did nothing to change my assessment of the game and series. 5/10 in fact is generous. Whoever was in charge of the ending to ME at Bioware needs to removed from such a role in future games.

The ending isn't the only thing wrong with the game y'know. If i had to give it a rating, it would be a 6 or so. Its not that stellar.
