They need a giant baner on this page that says "Learn to read, you don't need to be connected to play". I see a compaint about this every other topic and it just isn't true, I play offine all the time.

a little research before you throw your money down can go a long way. I for one, dont mind paying for a little DLC as long as the main content is not intentionally chopped in order to create more DLC. I think in this case Bioware struck a good balance in releasing a full package and some fun add ons that are not required but there if you want them.
Actually, shale was a cut character due to time concerns. The DLC pack was actually a great piece because of how well integrated the character was post-release.

It has ceased to be.
It is pushin' up the daisies.

Bereft of life, it rests in peace!
If you hadn't nailed him to the forum he would be pushing up the daisies!
Its metabolical processes are of interest only to historians!
It's hopped the twig!
It's shuffled off this mortal coil!
It's run down the curtain and joined the choir invisible!
This.... is an EX-POST!

This isn't really on topic, but care to explain how? If I try to load a game with DLC enabled, it says I have to connect to use the DLC. If I try to disable DLC before loading, it says I can't load a game that has DLC unless that DLC is enabled. The only option I can think of to play offline would be to turn off DLC before creating a game, and making sure DLC was never turned on at any point.Sloth Of Doom wrote...

There are some items that you have to be connected to the dragon age servers to be able use...
like The Edge , Amulet of the War Mage and Embri's Many Pockets. they seems to only be available on your dragon age account .
