You have been trolled and it is wrong to take claim for something you did not say/write (see your sig)

No, by all means create more fantastic stuff for the game, but please do not be so draconic about it that one has to be connected to the internet to use it...
...Or have to resort to "hacking" to be able to play it offline. :crying:

They need a giant baner on this page that says "Learn to read, you don't need to be connected to play".   I see a compaint about this every other topic and it just isn't true, I play offine all the time.

There are some items that you have to be connected to the dragon age servers to be able use...
like The Edge ,  Amulet of the War Mage and Embri's Many Pockets. they seems to only be available on your dragon age account . Posted Image if you have the console version.
...i dont know if its the same for the PC version.

This is so NOT true, least on the ps3...l rarely ever play connected and have everything lve downloaded at my characters greedy finger tips.

There is a common issue where the game doesn't correctly install the authorisation, so games that shouldn't need to be online to run the DLC complain if they're not.

It's fixable with a minor tweak, but people who don't know how to do it (or aren't comfortable editing files themselves) pretty much have to live with it.

I have this problem. I haven't bothered to fix it yet because I'm always online when I play, but the point here is that it does happen to people.

vote with your wallet. dont buy it. i'll be right there with you not buying it.

also i am 25 and probably make at least the median salary of all the game users. i could easily afford this content if i thought it was worth my money.

I know this is stating the totally sodding obvious, but...

You DON'T need to buy the DLC. Its EXTRA. You can play the entire game without downloading any of the DLC at all. You dont NEED Shale, you dont NEED Warden's Keep, you don't NEED the Blood Dragon Armour....

Get the point?

I mean, seriously...seems like every few days theres another post about the DLC...the DLC is adding to the existing content, but its not required or compulsory if you dont want it.

do not misquote me. <_<

i make at least the median salary of the rest of you gamer nerds. being a gamer nerd myself, im pretty smart and landed myself a nice job.

the assertion that only kids who have no money think the DLC is a bad idea and an abuse of the paying customer is a load of balogna. there are plenty of us who make plenty of money and just arent dumb enough to throw it away $5 at a time for minimal content.

pot of slow boiling water with a frog in it.

Siren, simple fix.... you need to delete promo pack 2 and then reinstall it. You'll have The Edge, Many Pockets etc on your hard drive along with the authorization.

hmm, I would prefer free DLC (wouldn't we all) but yeah, if you don't want it then don't buy it. Other major game developers like valve release great free DLC for buyers so I don't see why bioware can't be more generous...

I wouldn't.  The quality would suffer badly if BioWare didn't have a financial incentive to devote resources to its development.

No one has to buy DLC, no one needs DLC, its a choice.
Dont want it, dont buy it.

The Op DEMANDING DLC to be stopped is "dumb".
No one has the right to speak for everyone.

And no one has to flaunt that the can afford it either....or their age junor.
I could state lm barely above poverty, but l will get the DLC cause it interests me and l dont waste my money on fine dinners, fast cars, etc etc....l buy something to enjoy when l can.

now you're not even being coherent. what does my education have to do with anything?

i'll make it simple for you.

i make enough money to buy this stuff without worrying about being able to pay my bills.
i do not think they are worth my money.
i dont buy them.

my advice to the OP: vote with your wallet, dont buy it.

simple.

This thread reminds me of the one the other day when someone was complaining about how they "had to" buy a shirt to get all the content.

I tend to agree that the DLC thus far hasn't been worth what EA is charging for it. As has been said, when you don't feel that something is worth the asking price your only real choice is to not buy it. Of course, that means that you won't get the content. You also can't eat a cake and still have the pretty cake sitting on your table, either...'cuz you, you know, ate it.
