Oh hey this thread again.

If it wasn't an issue in many fans minds than it wouldn't keep popping up.:bandit:

I think some fans over emphasize a subplot more so than the actual narrative.  I know romance is important but ultimately it is the fate of the Galaxy that matters.

I fail to see how a 2 minute add-on of your LI reuniting in the Perfect ending would affect anything. That's what I don't get about people, you would make us happy and keep the "artistic integrity" of all other endings.

I think they listened to us quite thoroughly.....they answered all questions pertaining to the Catalyst(his origin/purpose) and the Choices(explained the consequences of each and how they worked....and they gave us an ending with closure, and also the hope.of a new beginning....

Most importantly, it all makes sense and I feel like a hero at the end

Mission Accomplished: Bioware

Well done

perfect ending is a matter of conjecture and preference.

To me the Perfect ending has more to do with where the Galaxy is going more so than did I hug my LI to death. I already know my Shepard lives, Tali refuses to believe he is dead... I know they will be alright. I want to know that the Krogan and galactic society will recover.

I got that. It may not be perfect for you, but it worked for me.

So yeah, different strokes for different folks. They were never going to please everyone. This game means a million different things to everyone.

Regardless....a L.I reunion was never integral to the ending. It was never the problem with the ending.....the problem with the endings was that they didn't make sense....AND NOW THEY DO

and your precious reunion was even implied....you.people will complain about anything.....

Didn't we actually agree a few months ago that we all don't want a "Happy rainbow sunny ending?".

If you can see two clear facts:
Shepard is alive. Yeah, as if that at the end was not shepard taking a breath. Because his very own sign everyone knows, the N7, is dangling right in the middle of the screen. And LI in destroy over 5000 hesitates to put your name onto the fallen list and smiles. They fly away. They will meet for 99,9 %, have children and live happily ever after.

Why does everyone need visual proof of an event these days? It is obvious that they will meet again. Isn't that knowledge conclusion enough?

Questions answered, they even listened to us and made a decline ending.

And that's why they are losing my business. I am sure others intend to not purchase future games. They should have worked to make us all happy. They didn't. There are a lot of unhappy people. Maybe it means nothing to you but if 25% of the people are pissed off, and more-so, enough to not buy future products, then BioWare will learn a costly lesson.

They could have made this all work and keep everyone happy. A simple reunion cutscene to canonize it for our personal experience would have been enough.

When everything is build up to a reunion, as you say, why not show a simple scene or slide? This would have been the next logical step, and Bioware failed to do it.

I'm sure everybody that complains about the Extended Cut, are people that are whining about the lack of a reunion "on-screen"....

And I'm sure none of these people liked Inception. Yup. They all thought it was horrible because Cobb didn't end up with Mal in some ridiculous dream land....or they were mad about the top wobbling...."Omg its terrible, they made us 'think' just a lil bit"....

Pathetic....really

And there your logic is flawed. You can't make everyone happy. Even if they would have added the scenes you want, others would have wanted other scenes, and in the end, we would have 3 hours of cinematics to please everyone in one single end.

The EC Endings have been haunting me in my sleep. I had a lot of trouble sleeping last night and still can't fall asleep and it's 5:30 AM. I can't remove those images from my mind and this bitter taste from my mouth.

You can never please everyone especially in a game with so much choice and differences.

I`m agree. But what insulting me the most is existance of synthesis/control ending and position of this ending as a paragon endings.

Regardless of your feelings on the matter....doesnt change the fact, that a lack of a L.I. reuinion was not the reason the original endings failed.....and saying "the endings suck because there is.no reunion", well thats just whining over unfulfilled wishful thinking......

It would've been nice to see a L.I reunion....absolutely......but im not going to make ridiculous statements because of the lack of one....

I hated the original endings.....i prayed IT was real....because i couldnt see how they.could make sense of it all without IT.......yet despite all.my doubts along with everybody elses, they succeeded.....what an accomplishment

Because we want to finish with the Story once and for all.

Instead it will haunt us in our nightmares forever.

same here
but it`s pisses me off how BW tries to force synthesis as a perfect ending, for me it sounds like a betrayal for all series.

Not sure they force it so much as the Catalyst really wants you to pick it and make Shepard all selfless.

Screw that, kill the Reapers, get the girl/boy and live off the proceeds from the vids. Plus I got so many free drinks coming my way :)
