I was not impressed with the EC. I haven't touched ME3 since I suffered through the horrible destruction of my Mass Effect series. I had waited and hoped the EC would finally give the closure I wanted to my Shepard's story.
Nope.
This Extended Cut is crap. It is an attempt to save face over the outrage and frustration of the loyal fanbase. Sure, it explains the three endings a little better and adds some more fluff to the game. But it does nothing to bring my Shepard's story to an end as this game is supposed to. Too much is still unexplained, left out, or just thrown away. The Catalyst star child space magic is just garbage and doesn't fit with the tone of the series.
My respect for Bioware is completely ruined now. Mass Effect 3 should have been delayed until maybe Fall 2012 to finish the game and include everything the Bioware team promised us during development.
Bioware has become yet another one of EA's soulless cash cows. It won't last for long.
