Don't think that I'll pay... My canon-ending if I ever replay the series (what I doubt at the moment) will surely be refusal. Control is ridiculous regarding the fact that Shepard was telling TIM only two minutes ago that control can't be the solution. Destroy is committing xenocide and treason to your allies, the Geth and Edi. And Synthesis is still garbage with a laughable try of explanation. So in my games Shep will be dead and the next cycle will use Liaras informations to finally win the war.

While this gives some sort of closure, further adventures of Shep don't matter. The end is clear, everyone he or she knows will die. It's only a question of time. So why try to save somebody or find some plans, build a machine or something else, when it's useless in the end and everybody is dead? Why bother?

Well, my priority list has changed slightly, thanks to EC.

Story-DLCs
"Retake Omega" - from "yes" to "yes" - same stuff. Was the only DLC I planned to buy regardless of the EC.

"Leviathan of Dis" - from "didn't know / no" to "yes". Also seems to include more LI interaction from what I saw so far from the scripts.

"Other story DLC" - most likely yes.

---

"MP only DLCs" - only if for free. MP is fun, but not my primary reason to stay with the series. I might, however, buy a bundle of multiple MP DLCs.

"Appearance only DLCs" - still no.

"Weapons only DLCs" - still no

"Character only DLCs" - most likely not
We do have enough characters to deal with. No need for more. May be different for returning ME2 squadmates and/or upgrade DLCs for squadmates.

Mass Effect 4 - unlikely.
Reason: I'm a fan of the original trilogy. Since the new ME4 won't directly continue the story from the first series, it's unlikely I'd go after it. Especially since EA/BW are now free to do whatever they want with the new series. Results unpredictable.
The only way to me to actually buy ME4 is the option to import a ME3 save. Even if only 10 decisions get carried over, it would give me the illusion the NEW trilogy is set up by what Shepard did in the OLD trilogy. No new canon, I didn't play, but my own canon I experienced, so to speak.

Yeah, that's it.

I'm not a huge fan of Bioware's "let's do content in the middle of a game you've probably already beaten long before the DLC comes out" approach. So... probably not. Or at least not anytime soon.

On the other hand, DLC tends to be fairly static in price regardless of when you purchase it, so I'm not sure I'm all that enthusiastic about paying most of the cost of the game over again just to get a "complete" run. I beat the game, I'm done with the trilogy. What happened in between isn't going to change how it ends.

Here! Buy this DLC! You die at the end!

Hehe so true, and sadly people WILL buy it. But then again alot of players believe siding with and doing the will of a monster thats destroying all civilized life is a good idea too.

Me I'll pass i already know it all ends badly.

Negatory. They can keep their customers who dig morbid endings. I keep it happy.

Nope. I'll watch their contents on youtube then call it a day. The story has ended, the book's been closed. Why would I pay for a few more extra pages when it changes nothing in the grand scheme of things? For a few more extra EMS points? Lol...

Unless it's Alternate Ending Pack or some very big arse post-ending stuff, I won't buy DLC.

EC was okay, but it still feels like any other DLC will have no real effect on the game. So i'm gonna leave it.

No more ending-related DLC... so no. Why would I? ME3's a book that can be closed now.

I agree

No, unless it's set after the main game and deals with the consequences of these so-called endings.

You guys say that future DLC will have no effect to the end of the game.. What about ME2? Those characters added didn't change the ending of the game nor did the dlc in ME1. Personally I'll buy the DLC if it looks enjoyable.

Yep, I definitely will be, as long as it's single player DLC.
I can't really think of many games I've played that have DLC which has any notable effect on the ending of the game, so I don't understand why people are complaining about that. The DLC for both Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2, for instance, in no way changed the ending of each respective game, only giving slight changes in the next game.
I'll happily buy any significant single player content that is thrown at me, and I hope to be impressed by it!

You forget that ME1 and 2 wasn't the last game in the trilogy. It wasn't the end of the story.
I never saw the ending of ME1 and 2 as "The End".  There was still hope that the actions taken in tose DLC's would affect the subsequent game in some way.

I've always said that mid-game DLC for ME3 holds zero interest to me. Nothing at all.
post-ending DLC, whether or not Shepard is in it, I will most likely buy.
But mid-game or pure multiplayer DLC I won't touch with a 10-foot pole.

No. I've made up my mind. The ending has me so pissed off and looking at any scene from the game makes me feel odd when I think about the s"i**y ending.

It had an effect on ME3 though. Mostly minor, but you meet Kasumi and Zaheed again. You see the results of your choice in Overlord, and Arrivial sets off the events that start the game (though really just gets mentioned in passing.)
