The amount and quality of LI dialogue you get in the last 2 missions of the game are pretty remarkable. While a final scene/slide would have been nice, nobody should feel cheated.
I'm sure you've read this many times, but the people who romanced the purely ME2 characters didn't get any of this.

Hell if you romanced Steve or Traynor you got close to what the ME2 mancers got.

from 6:12 to 7:42 would have been the perfect "after-breath-scene"-ending for me.
Sadly Bioware missed that chance, closure by imagination is just not what I expected from the EC.

I don't particularly mind not being reunited with my LI, but I do kinda wish that, whoever the LI was should have put your name on the memorial wall (I had Jack and Liara put it on), or at least been there teary or something. At least she was at my grave though!
There would be a few logisitical issues with that. Jack being on Earth and the memorial being on the Normandy which was crashlanded on some uncharted planet.

Bioware gave us what we wanted- our LI and Shepard WILL reunite. The ending to Destroy insinuates that your LI isn't ready to believe you're truly dead yet, and the scene showing the Normandy taking off after implies that they're going back to Earth to look for you. Then, you see Shep breathe, alive, on Earth. There WILL be a reunion.
It was a very emotionally smart way to show how, eventually, you and your LI can live happily ever after. And in the end, Bioware GAVE us what we wanted: that chance to live happily ever after w/ our LI. Anyone asking for an explicit scene showing it is just being too entitled at this point.

Nope, Biwoare gave more "speculations" We got definitive "Shepard's dead" but still have to headcanon Shepard alive.
Bioware may have wanted us to imagine our own reunions, but really, anyhting that confirmed such a reunion actually took place would have gone over well. We can "speculate" on life after that bit of closure afterwards.
Edit: And given how much Shepard must sacrifice to even get this ending, it would be nice to get something more of a payoff than we got in the original ending.

You know, it still never stops irking me when I see people use the word "entitled" when it comes to video games. We pay for a product and service, why should we not expect a good product?
Just tell the story already. Stop implying, stop hinting, stop leaving guess work.

But...
The issue with the destroy ending. Yes it's obvious that Shepard survived his actions, but now there's a picture in my head which is bothering me. I don't have a possible reunification in my head, in fact I have the picture in my head that my Shepard is bleeding to death on the Citadel and dying alone.
In the Epilogue Hackett explains what happens after the reapers were defeated and there is no word about Shepard being found alive on the Citadel, a few words would have been enough to be satisfied. Instead I imagine, that he takes a last breath and dies a few minutes later.
Thank you very much.

It is? Shepard is minutes away from dying and the Normandy is days away from Earth or more. Where the hell did the Normandy crash, anyway? I wasn't aware of another garden class world in the Sol system.
- Also, the Force apparently exists in Mass Effect now. Your LI can now use it to sense that Shepard is alive.

Well I'm not complaining, I loved the synthesis ending this time with the memorial scene in the end, I missed that A LOT in the original endings.

Prove it.
And I NEVER asked for a scene, all I want is one photo. That way we have proof, yet it still leaves things open for others.

Great, now that I think about I don't even have my happy head canon ending anymore where Garrus comes back for Shepard - haven't thought about the fact that Hackett doesn't even mention Shep.. and the Normandy lifts off, but are all mass relays broken/ damaged now or is one intact that leads to earth.. but they also show the intact Citadel in my end sooo..... agh god, I dont want to speculate anymore!!!!! I just wanted a f-ing happy ending with LI.
And no, its not about "greedy" fans who are hard to please, its about the series ending with a cliff hanger AGAIN!!! The last scene is still the f-ing "breathing scene"..

Wait, how can they even know Anderson is dead and not Shepard? They weren't that damn far apart. Some further searching would have found Shepard, too.
I dont think they searched for them yet, they only knew from the comlink that Anderson and Shep made it to the citadel? I dont exactly know why they assume Anderson and Shepard dead - I mean, Shep was not calling them and saying "Hey, Anderson just died and I'm dying now too, farewell."
