As some of you may have seen, the Extended Cut DLC has content that hints at new DLC, DLC that might involve the original creators of the Reapers/Catalyst.

In case this is news, here's the thread:

Now, the Extended Cut inserts new dialogue in a number of places, for instance the conversation with the Star Child, that very slightly touch on this subject. As I said, the Star Child mentions the original creators, and that they have been turned into the very first Reaper. This could mean nothing, with ut just being extra padding, or it could be an intentional link to this rumored DLC.

Suppose the following: You buy the new DLC. You get new information. Maybe buy the next DLC, and the third one as well. Each hands you new information about the Reapers. And if you have all the pieces of information, so, all the paid DLC, the Refusal ending changes from Annihilation of the Cycle to succesfully convincing the Catalyst to stop.

However, you HAVE to buy the DLC to get this option.

How would you feel about this? Would you buy the DLC? Would you refuse on principle? Or would you just like the fact that there is more story-DLC, more gameplay, and not give a damn about any potential new ending?

EDIT: Just to make this clear, when I say "New DLC", I mean "New DLC that gives you a new adventure, a new planet to visit, a new mission, etc." And during that mission, you get new information on the Reapers. And if you buy all the new DLC, so all the new missions, you get all the information necessary to get this Fifth Ending I'm speaking about. So, not a DLC consisting entire out of a new ending, but various mission DLC that, all together, create one single new ending.

I've always felt that BW has left the field open to new endings via DLC... They've said that ME3 is a complete game with a beginning, middle and an end, but they, AFAIK, have never said explicitly that there would never be new endings added in the future.

Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut represents the definitive version of the endings to the Mass Effect trilogy, and the final resolution of Commander Shepard’s journey. We have no plans to release further content related to the endings.
