Ok after marathoning the EC last night ive thought about what i liked and what i didnt and watched the 2 endings i didnt see on Youtube. Whilst doing so an idea occured to me and to be honest after re-watching the destroy ending i thought it would have worked much better then what was given to us. My idea was that shepard should replace Hacket as the epilogues narrator, Ofcourse this would only occur on a high enough EMS that shepard was alive at the end

To me this would achieve a couple of things. FIrstly if you had high ems it would have completely cleared up the shepard lives issue, yes i know he breathes but its still not much to go on.  As it stands Sheps breath realy isnt that conclusive there have even been sugggestions that it wasnt shepard at all. Shepard talking on a high EMS run would clear this up beyond any doubt. Secondly while Hackets speech is realy good, it seems strange and slightly out of place to me that having an old guy talking about the future, just as if it had been a young man telling the story of the shepard. Better i say to have shepard looking too the future and delivering the message of hope after all its people like him, his crew and those that come after who will be shaping th future. 

Shepards VO would also have given fantastic closure, as Shepard would be reflecting on all three games would feel so much more personel to the player. One reason i like destroy best is that  i felt it was about people making there own fate unlike synthesis and control and i think Sheps VO would reflect this. Additionaly i think it would do alot to help balance desyroy against it two counterparts which both feel presented as if they are meant to be superior solutions. Shepards VO would give the message that while destroy had undoubtedly higher consequences Shepard didnt compromise what he or organic life was by choosing it.

Finaly one of the weakest aspects of the EC would be made less frustrating or even non-significant, the lack of shep + LI/squad reunion.

This line is spoken directly over the memorial scene if sheps voice had been doing this it would pretty much confirm a reunion was going to take place without the need to complicate the ec with a huge number LI scenes(even though that would have been awsome, damn you bioware).
