I'm struggling with the concept of the Normandy crash scene again, just wondering if anyone has a good explanation for it?

In all 3 endings they flee the space magic wave. In Destroy, I can certainly see that the sudden breaking of synthetic Reaper tech on board would disable something, so I'm happy with that one.

But in Control, what is there to cause a crash? Same goes for Synthesis. There's no reason to crash in either of them unless Joker bins it on purpose. Thoughts?
