No even before the extended cut. I love the lore, the characters, and the plot. I will be bringing Shepard along this journey for many years too come. And whenver a new ME game is announced Ill be the first to pre-order.

I've beaten ME 3 on multiple occasoins. In fact I am in middle of a playthrough of the entire trilogy right now. (about halfway through ME 2, played ME 1 last week)

mass effect 3 was by the weakest of the trilogy, and the endings even extended were just so incredibly stupid

but no, I still like mass effect

Worst in the series, but I don't say I regret it. I mean, ME3 was really nothing at all close to what I expected, and it doesnt have anywhere close to the same feel the other games did, but I am glad I have it

Yes, I wish I hadn't played it. It was a "decent", but not great, game from the get-go. I was never wowed by it. It had its emotional moments but in between was a very hollow experience. The gameplay improvements meant nothing to me. I was never playing for the gameplay. I could have gone through ME1 and ME2 with no gameplay whats so ever and been happy. I can't say the same about ME3.

I care about story, character, and immersion. Honestly, for many reasons it just didn't...get me there. The ending was just a nail in the coffin kind of thing. The extended cut did manage to bring me back up to a point where I could play through again and be OK with it. But I wouldn't do so with the level of excitement and interest I used to have with the series.

And for those who love the game remember this: Everyone's tastes are different. You loving it doesn't mean you have bad taste. It means you were looking for different things in a game. So don't take it personally when we say the endings didn't do it for us. Or that the game was the weakest of the trilogy.

Not at all. For me, it was the best game in the series. It balanced what neither ME1 or ME2 were able to. I was disappointed with the original endings, but very satisfied with what they did with the EC.

If it weren't for the whole ending fiasco, I think it would generally be hailed as Bioware's best game. It's the endings that messed it up, and badly colored most people's perceptions of the game as a whole.

Don't regret one bit of it. Even if I hated the original endings, the hate was intense, that's what matters.

I laughed, I cried, I shot a lot of things in the face. It's been a good ride.

Several of my friends have not played it yet, and so will play it never knowing the original endings.

...Ignorance is bliss, right?

I see no reason why to say yes even when I hate a game because there is always enjoyment in everything.

And that is your opinion and you are entitled to it however there are some people who would disagree regarding the endings and the expanded endings. my opinion and this is my personal opinion

Original endings F
Extended endings D-

The problem is that you're contradicting yourslef since everyone has an opinion whether its based on the right or wrong reasons.  Another problem is that most of the hate on the endings came from entitlement based.  If you're really this critical on endings then you must not read, watch, or play that much.

Simple answer: Yes.

I should have backed more kickstarter projects with that money.

Thats a real gamble and I doubt you would have regretted it based on coming here.

Yes. If someone remade this game from scratch, I'd probably play it. But this game just... wasn't what I expected.

Yet it could be worse in your eyes.

Yes, I wish this game had like 5 years of development rather then the 1 it got.

Yet ME3 already had a long developement since it started  with ME2's developement.

Nah, Mass Effect was a triumph of storytelling in video games. I was falling rapidly out of love with video gaming in general before I tried Mass Effect 2, and it reminded me why games can be great.

No, I loved all the game if we don't count the previous endings, but the experience, the feelings, the anger, the happiness, and in general the emotions that this game make me feel (previous, as I said, to those endings, that more or less were improved with the EC), I would not change it for nothing. Love this serie, and I was angry and telling myself to not play another new biwoare game, before the EC. Now, Some faith and trust in bioware has been recovered! (with Miranda voice) So NO.

Not at all, other than the ending (which I didn't overly mind in the first place) I had a absolute blast, the characters were good, the romance between most of the crew were excellent (Liara's still being my favourite). That 99.9% of the game that gave me hours of entertainment and ultimately put a smile on my face mattered more than the end in my opinion, and now with the EC I finally got that sense of closure. So no, I do not wish I never played it, not for a second.

Agree with this here.  Yes the original endings were vague and had a lot of plot holes, but I didn't flip out over it as much as other people have.  It wasn't going to ruin the hours of enjoyment I had playing this game as well as the range of emotions the story puts you through (still get a lump in my throat at the deaths of some of the characters.)

To me, the Extended Cut perfectly filled in the holes and provided a more complete ending to the game, and I can truly put my Shepard story to bed and give it closure.  Don't regret playing it for a second.

No, I don't regret a moment of what must be weeks that I've dropped into the ME trilogy (even before the EC). I was a bit confused about the original ending to ME3, but I played through it a few more times (just the ending) and found that, while not perfect or exactly what I wanted, it was alright and I kinda liked it.

With the edition of the EC, I absolutely love it. It gave more closure and more of a sense of satisfaction than the original ending. And for me, the ending was beautiful. It was beautiful and it moved me to tears.

I do somewhat wish that I had been two weeks later in finally starting to play ME3 so I would have experienced the EC ending the first time, but that doesn't change that I had fun and loved the game.

I regret paying $60 for that absolute crapfest. But do I regret playing it at all? Well, I wouldn't have known how bad it was otherwise.

It was really a chore playing through the single-player at times, the whole way through is just ugh. The multi-player was kind of fun at first, but it lacks actual content, it's just doing the same thing over and over.

ME3 is one of the best games this console era. It had a wonky ending and to some people it still has, but I feel the EC pretty much corrected what was wrong with it from a narrative standpoint. I still don't mind having pre-ordered this game, though my stance would be different had the EC not happened.

five years of awesome space adventuring and badassery ruined by lazy unimaginative writing which resulted in the ending being ten minutes of absolute bullshlt an ending probably made for all the first time mass effect players, mass effect 4 will be called mass duty call of effect it will be set on earth with no aliens and the villains will either be russians asians or muslims a 8hr campaign and player vs player multiplayer on crappy ea servers...... all they had too do was give an ending where shepard kicks ass and saves everyone

I loved ME3 pre-EC and love it even more now.
