I thought it was garbage It was nice at first then I remember Anderson saying something that they can't get air support Yet the Normandy swoops right in and picks them up with out Harbringer noticing. It was a chance to take out an entire crew and Harbringer blew it. If I was Shepard I would be asking for that Thanix Cannon to be put to good use. Cover me while I'll sneak behind the Giant Space Squid.

I actually hated the pick up scene. It's probably one of my biggest issues with the new additions. Harbinger should have instantly blown the Normandy out of the sky when Joker made a slow, low altitude manoeuvre like that.

The moment is filled with emotions though. Really painful to let Tali go, and I was really hoping Shepard would finally say that he loved her when I clicked the "I will always love you" option.

Why is the Normandy pick up considered a plot hole . The Normandy was not advancing and if harbinger focused on the Normandy even for a moment he runs risk of soldiers going through the beam

Because Harbinger can fire multiple beams at once.

Loved it. Was the Normandy taking a risk coming in and picking up the crew? Yup. That's just a gambit Shepard won.

I don't think it takes away from the pace at all. It adds to it. You have new cinematics that show Makos tearing up trend and trying to get some ground, you got guys just hauling ass down the hill and getting thrown around, airborne vehicles flying through and exploded above you, etc. You just got seperated from your teammates who are now injured and cornered in this Valley of Hell. Gotta make a call. They don't look like they can run and if they just sit there they won't last the next five minutes. Bring the Normandy in. Could it get shot? Yeah. No time though. Gotta hope Harbinger is focusing on forces closer to the Beam. You get your guys oboard and you decide that now that they're safe, you're gonna make a run right now the center in hopes that you distract that big ass Reaper ahead so that the Normandy can get out.

I'm good with it.

Oh i really liked it.
It really gave me another look on the love relation between shepard and harbinger!
Cuz, you know, the whole "i can't shoot shepard that's taking forever right in front of me to board a spaceship carrying injured squadmates simply because i wanna make reaper babies with him" thing really hit me in a soft spot.

True story.

This was absolutely fantastic.  Made the entire EC worth it by itself.

I screwed mine up by taking Javik.

Although it was kinda cool seeing him show emotion.
But I would have preferred someone else.

Ah well...next playthrough.

Best part of EC, I can now say those words.

Well said.

I understand why they added it but it would have been better if the squad just didn't join you for some reason, on that final run. It was really stupid that they got picked up, and even had a brief conversation, all while Harbinger is shooting lasers at your comrades 2 feet away. Talk about taking the suspense out of the situation.

It was a nice bit for Shepard and his/her LI, for sure and many wanted more content like that. It only disrupts the flow of the scene if you're aware of how it was previously.

I thought it was ridiculous for a couple of reasons.

Harbinger not taking at least a couple popshots at the Normandy.

A shuttle instead of the Normandy would have been much more realistic.

Not evacuating any of the other wounded was like a big FU to all the other soldiers.

Mostly, for me, was having Garrus and Javik with me. Baring unconsciousness, neither of them would have left the battlefield no matter what. Way out of character for both.

Way out of character for Shepard to make the evac call. I could sort of see him having a breakdown if he/she has LI along. But then again why would you bring your LI given the low probability of anyone even making it to the beam, let alone all of them?

Sorry, I can accept cheesy now and again, but that was just too much.

The only sad thing for me is i Romanced Jack in my Main file so i didnt really have that much added. Wish like there was a scene that she heard what i was doing and she broke down crying.

The scene itself was nice but it did not fit at all. And it is not only because of the Normandy not getting shot immediately. The main problem for me is, that this was supposed to be the last desperate attempt to get to the Citadel. Throw everything at them and no step back. Definately not a time to call in Normandy to evacuate your sqaudmates...

Here is what Harbinger was thinking:
Harbinger: Go Shepard go!!! Enter the beam before the StarBrat notice I am slacking!!! You are the examplar of victory and you are not only fighting for the civilizations of this cycle but all civilizations of eons past! You are the only organic with the Paragon/Renagade interrupt power that can break its Indoctrination power!!

I like it. The scene with Tali is heart-wrenching.

It is a lot better than the very boring part on the Citadel until TIM dies.

I liked it, but it certainly requires you to suspend your disbelief.

Since there was no way they could explain the plot hole, they chose a satifsying emotional conclusion. It's an acceptable substitution.

Garrus: I.... love you too.

I BAWLED. HE FINALLY SAID IT.

I REALLY want to watch Liara or Tali's, can someone post a link or something?
