"Shepard: Don't argue with me liara"
HAHAHA Liara I know you can fight but you must go so this crappy scene make sense somehow.
And all the fanboys stand slowly and clap, because that makes so much sense just because the cheesy drama.

I know right? I almost missed it, was so soft and emotional.
Did you take Kaidan as well? My Shep romanced him in ME1 and I *swear* he flinched when she told Garrus that she loved him. Maybe just my imagination.

I haven't had a chance to do it with a Kaidanmance because after ALL that fuss with the endings, I only ended up doing two saves.
But, if some wonderfully nice person uploads it...

In a nutshell harrby didnt shoot the normandy because it was like a big game of pyjacks, your not going to shot the ones at the back when the ones in front are running for your food stores!
For the third and final time....
He can fire multiple beams at any given time.

but in conjunction with the sequence, I laughed so hard. Harbinger is sitting there double-firing his beams at everything that moves, having enough time to shoot individual soldiers yet somehow he can't find the time to shoot a beam or two down the Normandy's clearly open hangar bay door and finally rid itself of the ship as a nuisance...

To be honest, I thought the scene on it's own was fine, but the whole time I was thinking 'why isn't Harbinger shooting at the Frigate floating right in front of him?' and 'Why doesn't the Normandy lay into him with its cannons?'. For a few seconds, I thought the pickup scene would be used to explain why Harby goes away (Harby chases after the Normandy).
They kind of replaced one WTH moment from the original ending (how did the squadmates get back on the Normandy) with another one (Harby doesn't see the Frigate that took out the Collector ship as a threat?).
My thoughts exactly.
In any other circumstances I would be very happy with this scene (espcially cosidering bonus goodbye scene with LI). But here it was just ridiculous.

why would harbinger shoot the normandy ? he would be giving the troops on the ground a chance to get to the beam you lot look into this too much
If a large ship was landing near the beam, don't you think it'd be wise to shoot it?
Harby doesn't know whether the ship is unloading a load of soldiers that will run to the beam or not.
To ignore the Normandy was stupid.
To use it to only take 2 casualties away from battle was even more stupid.

Props to the writers and tali's voice actress. The "I *have* a home" line said much more than a simply "I love you" would have in the case of tali (seeing as everything quarians and tali ever wanted was a home...)
Dunno about the other LIs but this one was brilliantly handled.

Wait, why is shepard coming back, this is not the way it should... what ? evac ?, whoa I thought the mission was to assault the beam, way to ruin the mission shep. The normandy is already here, oh crap harby is going to shot it , no ?.

lol, this. And so much for that "we fight or we die" speech he gave earlier, shepard completely contradicts his previous statements and trivializes the extreme seriousness of the mission by calling an evac out of nowhere. And others have pointed this out but I'll reiterate: if normandy could bypass the reaper's beam because of its IFF why the heck didn't they just use it to launch people directly into the beam from the air? Instead of making them fight through a thousand enemies on the ground. Great tactics, Commander Shepard. Or Hackett. Whoever was in charge of that decision.

Okay people who think its ridiculous. Post your favorite movie/game/book story so everyone can point out ten times during the story the heros should have died but were saved by plot shield. Seriously, this complaining is what is ridiculous.

Also, for me it really added to the tension. I was torn between wanting to say a proper goodbye to my LI and best friend, and wanting them to just get out of there because every second we waited added to the risk of death and failure. It made by heart beat deliciously faster.
Edited to add: Also, that was the first time I'd ever seen real blood on any of my companions. That was quite shocking.
