This should have been released at live, but it's still just a deus ex ending, yes the word Synthesis is a replacement for Singularity. And besides we already know the way to prevent technological vs organic clashes go read Isaac Asimov. I really wish that gaming companies could get past the entire ludite movement and move on to thought provoking ethical examination of the Singularity instead of the absolute Fear of change or technological expansion that dominates current entertainment.
It's still not a thought provoking ending, it's a forced choice at the end that plays to the ego of the player and nothing else. Now the post face to face with GOD showing how your decisions affect the survivors was appreciated but that doesn't make the destroy, merge, control, ignore(oh that the was the ending in deus ex human revolution) relevant to the story narrative from the earlier games or the rest of me3.
And at this point for any new games set in the future ME period as Bioware will have to establish a one of the 3 endings as a cannon, I can't wait to see which one they choose because it'll be a good laugh either way. Oh well those are my thoughts.
I cant say i will never buy another Bioware game, or that I won't ever play another Bioware game, but i can tell you I doubt i will ever pre-order another collectors edition. And i probibly will wait until the games go on sale to purchase them. And i dont know whether i will purchase any of the further dlc's for me3; i might just wait till they bundle them and release them all for 50% off or something like that.
Mass Effect 3 was great until the end, and even with the changes being better then it was at release it's still not an ending Mass Effect 3 deserves. And frankly when i play me1-3 again, i'll just alt F4 at the beam going off and call it an end there.
Thank again for making a great story with the mass effect 1-3, thank you for your hardwork.
Extended Cut ending.
