Possible people:
The Quartermaster
The Kennel Master
The guy who's in the cage for desertion (The Hungry Deserter)
The Ash Warrior guy
The dying soldier that you find in the Wild's
The soldier who greets you as you go into the camp
I'm pretty sure there might be a few others that I never did talk to but I'm guessing that it has to be someone that you've already met at the camp before the battle.
Anybody else have someone else they think might be showing up from Ostagar.
Feedback welcome

The Circle Mage temp companion the game gives you for the Tower of Ishal is another possibility. If you are a human Noble and have Dog in your party, you only get him whereas if you aren't/don't you get him and the guy who was standing guard before, but no matter what, everybody partied with that Circle Mage on their way to Ogre. So... possible.
Mage does not get the circle mage.
Edit: Thus, Walter is the only one of them, Tower Guard, Circle Mage and Soldier featured to everybody.

Little did we know, he actually has the Feign Death skill... er, maybe not.
I also vote for Walter. But my instinct tells me it will be the Quartermaster, as a supplier.

And his only speaking line will be "ICHABOD!" who cares that it doesn't fit and there's no one named Ichabod anywhere near Ostagar.
Fergus Cousland gets my vote (though he technically wasn't AT Ostagar for the battle)

Who says it has to be someone you've met? Even though Morrigan says the army was wiped out, there are at least two Ostagar veterans you meet in Denerim not counting those who were with Loghain. So I doubt the army was killed to a man, otherwise how did Wynne and Uldred return to the Circle afterward, or the chanters and the Reverend Mother?
Like I said it's just a theory... I've been kinda curious as to who the fellow survivor maybe since I've heard about the DLC... Just something to think about while patiently waiting for the release lol

My guess is a fellow Grey Warden
Would torpedo the entire plot unless he dies immediately.

It said you find a survivor. If it is indeed a Grey Warden he doesn't have to survive the DLC. You go back to Ostagar, find him, later he dies. It's possible.

Well, Avernus is also a living GW.

Avernus doesn't follow your foolish mortal rules!

I don't think its the ash warriors as they escaped earlier or so the bandit leader tells you if you questions him outside lothering
Logically then you should be able to find some of them around, I always did wonder what happened to them, they seemed significant at the time but.. er.. aren't.
They'd be a good choice I think. But I bet it'll be someone we've never seen before.

Is Avernus technically 'living'? I couldn't quite figure out if he was halfway to being DA:O's equivalent to a Liche.
